She stood there, waiting in the rain
The mist raising it's head, swallowing her soul
Within it's dampened pain
the moon was falling down.

The cobblestone streets lit with cold fires
Giving way to a fated demise
Where darkness meets light, the pyres
That thrive on lonely hearts

The angel with dragonfly wings
Broken and distraught, falling from her heaven
The skies crying, screaming -
Now lying on the wet ground

Illuminated by the rain, her body
While still discreet, serenely drawing my focus
Beautiful still in her palor, supernatural death
And I begin to reach out of my shadow
