Although the process works, Mom awakens with a new personality entirely, forcing Farnsworth to make many adjustments in order to get things right. Fry, Bender and Leela try to convince him to leave the dead in peace but to do so they must find him another love.

18.02: “Nibblonian Wars: A New Hopelessness” (or, “Nibbler’s Day IV”)

Nibbler travels to his home planet, Tweenis 12, to learn the way of the Nibblonian like his father in order to defeat the evil mighty being known only as Shadow that is taking over planets day at a time. Although his training goes well he is unable to learn the control of the legendary Lightstick, a weapon used by Nibblonians in the darkest of times – and is faced with an eternity under the Shadow’s reign of terror.

18.03: “Default Bender”

A glitch in a satellite orbiting Earth causes all the robots to act like primitive twentieth century technology. Bender, especially, suffers from the effects and is no longer the beer drinking, chain smoking robot he once was. Fry and Leela take it upon themselves to fix the satellites and soon uncover a plot by the Robot Devil to take over the world without the risk of being stopped by robots. Luckily, Leela manages to outsmart him by convincing him to go back to Robot Hell – where he, too, becomes primitive. Bender goes back to normal and Planet Express throws a crazy robot party to celebrate.

18.04: “Blast to the Past”

Yancy reveals to Fry that he is going back to the past, on January 1st, 2000, to be with his parents. Fry becomes determined to go with him but Yancy forbids him from doing so, knowing what will happen to the universe if he changes his past. Not wanting to give up, Fry becomes desperate to find out how Yancy is travelling backwards and forwards in time, even if it means ruining their brotherhood.

18.05: “Inanimate Fry”

Fry becomes disgraced with the state of animation on 3005 television and decides to introduce classic 2D. After his first short, based on his dog Seymour, is aired on television, it is viewed as highly controversial, making Fry an immediate celebrity. Fry decides to continue making more animated shorts but his fame could be over when he is asked to make a stop-motion feature thanks to his unsteady hands.

18.06: “Ace Brannigan’s Diary: The Edge of Treason”

Ace Brannigan returns to win Leela’s heart again but in a drunkenly depressed state, he ends up crashing the Nimbus into the White House in Washington. Richard Nixon orders Ace to be executed for attempted treason, and it’s up to his son, Zapp, and the Planet Express crew, to rescue him from this horrible fate.

18.07: “Meet the Pacmen”

The Planet Express crew make a delivery to the planet Pac and realise that the legendarily classic video game “Pacman” was based on their culture. After stopping off at a friendly couple’s home for the night, they find themselves ridden with terrible nightmares about the village being attacked by ghosts. The following morning, the very same thing happens, and it’s up to Fry, the video game master, to rid of the ghosts, with the help of a nervous Pacboy: Chomper.

18.08: “Mutant for a Day”

Leela encourages the Planet Express staff to help her rebuild the underground mutant society into a nicer place to live. Leela’s mother is thrilled with her efforts but the following morning, when the crew return, they are shocked to learn that all of their work has been burnt down. As the search for the culprit gets underway, Fry, meanwhile, decides to live the life of a mutant for the day.

18.09: “CraziER Than Most”

Fry discovers what modern hospitals are really like after breaking his arm during a delivery and becomes terrified with the new treatment and alien doctors. As a result of this, he is believed to be a crazy man and is shipped to an insane asylum in deep space. Leela and Bender must now track him down and bust him out, but realise that the only way to get there is to travel into a black hole, and there is a risk of being shattered into a million pieces unless they have access granted.

18.10: “Botjuice” (#200)

Farnsworth impulsively buys an old mansion in the middle of nowhere and declares that the Planet Express staff will be vacationing there this year. Fry and Bender find themselves being haunted by what seems to be a group of robot ghosts and their helper, Botjuice, who are trying to get them to leave. The others partake in a Chess tournament but are horrified when a message declares that one of them is a ghost.

18.11: “Guilty Until Proven Really Guilty”

Bender decides to partake in the yearly robot NNYC pod race and enlists the help of Farnsworth to train. When Bender expresses the desire to cheat, an annoyed Leela tries to teach him the feeling of guilt. Fry, meanwhile, is jealous that humans can’t enter the race, and ends up being arrested for hassling the mayor.

18.12: “Dumb and Dumbstruck”

Leela is dismayed to learn that a pen pal that she has been in contact with is really one of the brain spawn who is posing as a human. After a confronting him about it, the brain reveals everything about Nibbler, Fry, and their plot to destroy the universe years back. Leela refuses to believe it, until a trap sets up Nibbler and he inadvertently reveals his talking abilities. Nibbler, the only one who can summon his fellow Nibblonian race, must now escape from the brain’s jail cell before a hostile takeover of the planet, whilst also dealing with a dumbstruck Leela.
