Futurama: Continued - Season 12 Season 12

12.01: “The Destruction of the Earth” (Part 2 of 2)

To stop the Earth’s destruction, Bender and Flexo must hack into the main computer base on the mysterious planet. Soon, however, they find themselves battling a large, menacing anti-virus monster – all in 3D. Bender and Flexo realise that to spare the Earth one of them will have to die. Whilst Leela gets to work on the ship, Fry is determined to find an alternative plan.

12.02: “Anthology of Interest IX”

The crew gather round the what-if machine to ask more questions. What if Zoidberg had a family; what if Hermes quit his job as a bureaucrat in order to follow his dream of becoming a space hero; and what if Amy became the legal owner of Mars alongside with Kif?

12.03: “Identity Crisis”

Fry and Bender come across a new model of the famous time-turner, and agree to travel back to Fry’s days in New York University. Fry, who had always been low on the popularity chart, decides to help his past self out in order to make something more of his life. However, his plans backfire when Fry vaporizes and re-appears in the year 2005, as an early retired entrepreneur. Bender must now travel to the year 2005 in order to help Fry find his real identity and return to the distant future.

12.04: “Year of the Alien”

Fry is given a mysterious curse, forbidding him from visiting his most loved one or else they will die. This loved one is Leela. Fry must now leave Planet Express and move far away in order for the curse to ware off. Leela, along with Bender and Flexo, goes on a mission to battle the aliens responsible for the curse. Fry, on the other hand, is tired of living as a refugee on the mountains.

12.05: “The Crustacean King”

On a visit to his home planet, Zoidberg is shocked to find he is set to become king of the entire planet. Along with Fry and Bender, Zoidberg goes on a “Lion King” style adventure, encountering many laughs and troubles along the way. Leela and Flexo, who have never managed to get along with each other, are stuck together until Fry and Bender’s return.

12.06: “Ghostrusters”

The short-lived owner of the Planet Express building, William, has passed away. In the reading of his will Farnsworth discovers the building was built on an ancient Indian robot burial ground. Every 1000 years the ghosts rise in order to wreak havoc, and 3005 just so happens to be next. As a robot, Bender must fight away the rising ghosts using a specially designed vacuum. Alongside with robot buddy Flexo, Bender goes on a “Ghostbusters” style mission.

12.07: “The Tomb Generation”

The Planet Express crew are set to deliver an ancient mummy to Egypt. On their arrival, Fry is overcome with how much Egypt has changed over the years. 1000 years later, it is now a busy, thriving Vegas-style country. The mummy is delivered to its rightful owners, but soon the crew discover Egypt is still Egypt inside the tombs and under the ground... and chaos ensues.

12.08: “Twisted Love”

Bender is infatuated with a fembot named Twisty, who was built to twist objects. Bender finds himself falling more and more in love with Twisty until they finally agree to move into the countryside, where they construct themselves some children. Fry, meanwhile, becomes determined to get Bender back and enlists the help of Flexo. Flexo, however, is more interested in wooing his ex-girlfriend Angleyne, who is back in town, and ready to mingle. (Guest starring Jan Hooks).

12.09: “Nibbler’s Day”

In an episode entirely devoted to Nibbler, Nibbler must return to his home planet in order to meet his parents for a Nibblonian holiday. He is shocked on his arrival, however, when he realises that he is being set up with a distant uncle’s daughter. Nibbler must now do whatever it takes to get out of the matinee but not before going on all sorts of crazy adventures.

12.10: “The Memory Game”

Richard Nixon orders a worldwide hypnosis wave in order for everyone to forget about the possibility of invading aliens. However, when the Omicronians arrive for their weekly attack, everybody on Earth is terrified, parodying an old-fashioned alien movie. Fry, who is too stupid to have been affected by the hypnosis, must calm everyone down and get them used to the idea of aliens.

12.11: “The Zoidberg Experience”

Zoidberg gets a job working for Elzar as a waiter. Unable to impress on his first day, he tries out one of Farnsworth’s latest gadgets. However, the gadget malfunctions and the Planet Express crew find themselves trapped inside Zoidberg’s thoughts – where anything can happen.

12.12: “Marathon Man”

Fry decides to run in the New New York marathon, hoping to impress Leela. He tries out Farnsworth’s latest invention, the Speedy Boots. On the day of the marathon, the boots malfunction, affecting the time-space continuum. The following morning Fry realises that the day is repeating itself. He must now put an end to the loop without arousing any suspicion.

12.13: “Love at First Kite”

Zoidberg gains the power of levitation when he purchases a cheap, suspicious looking kite. Nixon, confusing Zoidberg for a threat against Earth, hires the Planet Express crew to catch up with Zoidberg – and assassinate him. Fry, however, becomes obsessed with the power of the kite and decides to use the levitation abilities in order to put on a magnificent performance for Leela. The performance is a disaster when Zoidberg is determined to do whatever it takes to get the kite back.

12.14: “The Return of Ace Brannigan”

Leela is shocked when Zapp’s overbearing father Ace arrives at Planet Express looking for a job. However, realising that he is a changed man, she is soon infatuated with him.
