| It all starts when this talented baby boy was born on December 14, 1979. His parents, Terry and Janette Owen were happy to see such a handsome boy. As he grew up, at a young age, Michael Owen started playing football for his elementary school in wales at the age of 11. His dad, Terry Owen was a professional with Everton & Chester. Since his dad was a football player, his dad gets to train him. At the age of fifteen, he played for England's under-15 team. He was able to attract heads of scouts because of his scoring record. at the age of 17, Michael was able to signa professional contract for Liverpool F.C. Scoring 21 goals at his first season of premiership and being the youngest player for England at France 98. Scoring a needed shot against Argentina has earned him worldwide fame and making him a national hero at 18 for Englamd. He got the PFA young player of the year for the season 97-98 and voted as BBC sports personality of the year for 1998. For the year 2000, he played for England's Euro 2000 games, scoring against Romania and his 2 goals against AS Roma in the UEFA cup, and his last brace in the FA cup against Arsenal, giving him the name as the most exciting strikers in Europe. He was called man of the match because he scored a goal against Bayern Munich, playing for his club, Liverpool F.C. made them win the super cup in Monaco. At the year 2001, he scored 3 goals including a hat-trick in a 5-1 butt kicking game against Germany. he was able to score 100 goals for Liverpool in a game against West Ham at Upton Park on December 29, 2001, naming him the European Footballer of the year in December 2001. At the year 2002, He currently scored 3 goals for the world cup in Japan/Korea. He know is currently playing for Liverpool F.C. and the England team this season for the Barclaycard English Premiere league, EUFA champions league and for the Euro 2004.
