the main ways of tackling unfair global systems is through the medium of the city protest. This is a major FUN event , but there is a very real reason for doing it; in that when millions take to the streets world-wide it sends out a powerful message. Street art, theatre, juggling, performing, clowning, music, all play their part. The protests are for the most part non-violent, with colour and play being the main tools used in fighting this �economic war�. The parade is also used as a very valuable education space, with many groups communicating their ideas through art and theatre. While it is easy to get down at the appalling systems, FUN and a sense of humour are the tools which keep you upbeat. Laughing is a powerful thing

Planet earth is our home. The way we are living at present is such that we are destroying it. We have to become more responsible with how we use energy, materials and resources, and in how we deal with waste. Economic systems like cash crops destroy the diverse biological ecosystems that keep us ALIVE.

We believe that it is possible for human beings to coexist without having to slaughter one another, as we have seen done explicitly in the last 100 years through both the �world wars� and the smaller ones. This slaughter includes the millions who are dying due to the unfair economic systems of WTO (world trade organisation) and the IMF (international monitory fund). The vast majority oppose the use of violence of any form to achieve their ideal, there are other ways to achieve things; �ahimsa�, gandhi`s non violent movement being one of the strongest ways. Peace in yourself, peace in your community, peace in your city, peace in your country, peace in your world ( and peace in your universe, if it comes to that). Many people also believe that it is wrong to kill animals. A simple smile can be a very powerful human act.

If you are reading this, you are ALIVE. Life is very very profound but it also A very beautiful thing to be able to do. Perhaps the universe does not have a cause, eitherway; being aware of the strangeness of life gives you a feeling of just how beautiful it is to be here. 2 recent breakthroughs in science have resulted in a major paradigm shift in our world view. The first being that in the 1920`s we developed the technology to investigate the internal structure of the atom; we had thought that an atom was the smallest possible bit of solid matter but we discovered that it is simply dynamic flows of energy, that give the impression of solidity. In fact 99.9% of your body is proven to be emptiness. The second breakthrough was being able to generate the image of planet earth from space. Having become so visually dependant, seeing our home actually made us realise again, WE ARE ALIVE.
