| Venue: The Cajun Dome City/State: Lafayette, Louisiana -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FUSION BEGINS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [The PWA copyright logo appears and "Step Up" by Drowning Pool hits and the pyros begin to blast through out the Cajun Dome as Fusion kicks off on ESPN! The Lafayette crowd goes nuts as suddenly, "No Chance" hits and the PWA United States Champion, Mr. McMahon. makes his way to the ring. Vince enters the microphone with a microphone in hand and slowly begins to speak.] Vince McMahon: Ladies and gentlemen. Can I have your attention please? I'd like to address a very imporant matter here concerning our main event at RETRIBUTION pittin champion Randy Orton against Batista. As some of you may or may not know, Batista and I have had several disagreements concerning his current payment status with in the PWA and where exactly he falls on the scale and being the good and successful I might add, business man that I am, I decided to only reasonable thing to do would to simply...FIRE HIS ASS!!! Which now brings me to the main event at RETRIBUTION and who gets the shot. There are many great superstars who deserve a title shot but unfortunately, there can only be one and by the end of the night, our new RETRIBUTION main event will be set! [Vince's music hits and the Chairman of PWA makes his way back to the ring as JR and King begin to talk about the huge night.] Jim Ross: Well what about that? A new main event for RETRIBUTION! But what about tonight, King? Tonight, history will be made as Bret "The Hitman" Hart, and yes folks, I said Bret Hart returns to the ring to sign a contract to become an active wrestler in the PWA! Also, the final two quarter final matches for the Hardcore Title Tournament. Jerry Lawler: Oh yea and what about Randy Orton against Y2J Chris Jericho? Jericho made quite an impact last week defeating Edge! Can he do the same and end Orton's streak? Jim Ross: Also, Jeff Hardy gets his TV Title shot tonight as he battles Brock Lesnar! Can the newly wed defeat Lesnar? We'll find out tonight! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero 1st Round - Hardcore Title Tournament Referee: Tim White [With Eddie in the middle of the ring, Benoit climbs to the top to deliver the diving head butt, but Eddie is able to move causing Benoit to hit face first. Eddie Guerrero then climbs up to the top his self and hits the Frog Splash for the three count.] Winner: Eddie Guerrero (0:7:44) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Jindrak w/ Jackie Gayda vs. Booker T 1st Round - Hardcore Title Tournament Referee: Charles Robinson [As Jindrak staggers up from a spinning heel kick, Booker attempts a scissors kick but Jindrak dodges it. As Booker turns around, Mark Jindrak catches him with The Mark of Excellence to get the win.] Winner: Mark Jindrak (0:8:21) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Raven vs. A. J. Styles Singles Match Referee: Brian Hebner [As A. J. Styles stands in the ring, Raven is shown in the backstage area along with PWA officials.] Raven: Let me tell you, something, I told you that I wrestle when I want and how I want and I refuse to wrestle unless it's under Raven's Rules! PWA Official: Raven, this is the PWA and you work for us and therefore you will obey by the rules and therefore you will wrestle tonight! Raven: Oh, I'll wrestle tonight. I'll wrestle my way! [Raven's music hits and Raven makes his way to the ring with a microphone in hand.] Raven: Okay folks...this match has now become a Raven's Rules match which basically means, there are no rules so ref, ring the bell! [The referee hesitantly signals for the bell and Raven and Styles begin to battle it out. After a long and brutal battle, Raven finall hits the Even Flow DDT in the middle of the ring on a steal chair to pick up the victory.] Winner: Raven (0:16:34) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matt Hardy w/ Christy Hemme vs. Edge Singles Match Referee: Chad Patton [Matt Hardy delivers a stiff kick to the gut and then goes for a Twist of Fate but as he prepares to execute it, the lights go out . When lights come back on, Matt Hardy lays in the middle of the ring knocked out and covered in blood. Edge looks around and simply covers Matt for the three count.] Winner: Edge (0:9:25) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goldust vs. Kane Singles Match Referee: Jack Doan [After a big boot to the face, Goldust staggers up to his feet as Kane awaits for him to get up. Finally, Goldust turns around and Kane grabs him by the throat and chokeslams him to hell.] Winner: Kane (0:9:27) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [RAZOR RAMON] Hey yo, do you want to see Razor Ramon in the PWA? Survey says...one point for "The bad guy". Razor Ramon debuts next week! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shelton Benjamin vs. Kurt Angle Singles Match Referee: Mike Sparks [As Shelton staggers to his feet, Angle stalks him from behind and gets him in an Angle Slam position but Benjamin fights out of it. As Angle turns around, Shelton nails him with a beutiful t-bone superplex to pick up the win.] Winner: Shelton Benjamin (0:8:35) [After the match, Benjamin walks up to the ramp celebrating his victory until suddenly, none other than Abyss attacks him from behind at the top of the ramp. Abyss grabs Shelton and heaves him up and tosses him directly off of the ramp. PWA fades to a commercial as the camera man gets a close up of Abyss.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gangrel & Christian vs. The Deadly Combination w/ Paul Bearer Tag Team Match Referee: Jimmy Korderas [Gangrel and Sting battle on the outside of the ring as The Undertaker gets pumbled on by Christian. As the referee tries to get order on the outside of the ring, Matt Hardy enters the ring from the crowd and nails Christian with a Twist Of Fate and quickly exits and jumps back over the barricade. As Undertaker makes it to his feet, he walks over to Christian and pins him for the three count.] Winners: The Deadly Combination (0:14:34) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Val Venis] Hello ladies. Next week ladies, the whole world will stand in all as The Big Valbowski rocks the world of every single lady in attence! Val Venis debuts next week! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin Nash vs. The Rock Singles Match Referee: Mike Chioda [The Rock delivers a hard spine buster in the center of the ring and then sets up for the People's Elbow. The Rock criss crosses the ropes and connects but only to recieve a two count. The Rock then awaits for Nash to get up as he sets up for a Rock Bottom, Finally, Nash gets up and Rock catches him but Nash delivers sevral elbows and breaks out of it. As Rock turns around, Nash kicks him in the gut and hits the Jackknife Powerbomb for the three count.] Winner: Kevin Nash (0:7:04) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Big Show w/ Eric Bischoff vs. Rey Mysterio Singles Match Referee: Chad Patton [As soon as the bell sounds, Rey charges toward Show but quickly gets knocked down by a big boot. Big Show then picks up Rey's body and hits him with a chokeslam for the quick win.] Winner: The Big Show (0:0:30) [After the match, Eric Bischoff gets on the mic and begins ordring Show to hit another Choke Slam on Rey. After that, Big Show hits two more Choke Slams on Rey Mysterio until finally a familiar song hits and none other than Bill Goldberg makes his way to the ring. Goldberg enters the ring and speers The Big Show. Eric then turns around and gets nailed with a speer as well as the crowd goes nuts. PWA fades to a commercial break as the crowd begins to chant "GOLDBERG". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Triple H Singles Match Referee: Charles Robinson [As Triple H goes for The Pedigree, Austin is able to break out of it and flip Triple H over. As "The Game" staggers up, Austin hits him with a "Stone Cold" Stunner as Charles Robinson counts 1...2...3! Winner: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (0:13:06) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bret "The Hitman" Hart Signs With PWA [As PWA comes back from a commercial break, "No Chance" is still playing through out the arena as Vince McMahon sets at the table with a pen in hand. Finally, the music everyone had been awaiting for begins to play and Bret "The Hitman" Hart finally makes his way to the ring. Hart walks around the ring and removes his sun glasses and puts them on a lucky fan who begins to cheer along with his mother. Hart then enters the ring and looks Vince in the eye as his music stops. With Bret still looking at him, Vince asks for a microphone and begins to speak.] Vince McMahon: Well, well, well. I'm sure many thought this wouldn't happen. Vince McMahon in the ring with Bret "The Hitman" Hart! Who would have thought they would see that? Well set your VCR's because it's happening right now! Now Bret, I've already tooken the liberty to sign my name to the contract so the only left to do is for you to do the same. [Vince slides the pen and contract to Bret. Bret looks at the fans and then grabs the microphone out of Vince's hand.] Bret Hart: You know something. I still think that you have got to be the biggest piece of crap I've ever laid my eyes on. But I've learned to forgive you but you can bet your bottom dollar, I'll never forget what you did to me. I'll never forget how you humiliated me. But what you couldn't do is take away my passion for wrestling. Although numerous injuries have kept me away from the ring for quite some time, they never took away the love I have for the business and for the fans. (The fans begin to go nuts.) So I'm gonna sign this contract and I will be the newest edition to the Professional Wrestling Alliance. [Bret picks up the contract and signs his name. As soon as Bret puts the contract down, he is attacked out of now where by the monsterous Kevin Nash! Nash begins to pumble Bret and then picks him up and his the Jackknife right through the table. Vince McMahon looks on and begins to smile and then picks up the microphone.] Vince McMahon: Bret, you may never forget what I did to you in 1997, and you're never gonna forget what I'm about to say! Bret, at RETRIBUTION in Dodger Stadium, you are going to go one on one with Kevin Nash! [PWA fades to a commercial break.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brock Lesnar vs. Jeff Hardy w/ Trish Stratus PWA Television Championship Referee: Brian Hebner [With Lesnar down, Jeff Hardy is able to go to the top and hit the Swanton Bomb but only to gain a two count. Jeff continues to pumble Brock as he tries to make it to his feet. Suddenly, the lights go out. As they come back on Jeff remains standing in the ring unharmed but as he turns around, Lesnar stands behind him and picks him up and hits the F-5 in the center of the ring. Lesnar covers Jeff to get the win and retain his title.] Winner: Brock Lesnar (0:15:02) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "HBK" Shawn Michaels vs. Batista Singles Match Referee: Nick Patrick [Shawn Michaels makes prances to the ring to his music and enters the ring holding his Tag Team Title. Michaels then poses as the pyros blast behind him. Shawn then waits in the ring for his opponent. After several moments of waiting, "No Chance" hits for the third time. As Michales steps forward awaiting for Vince, Michaels is attacked from behind with a steal chair by the US Champ. Michaels goes down and Vince climbs on top of him and begins pumbling him. Finally, security make their way to the ring and pull Vince McMahon off of HBK as Vince screams "I'm Vince McMahon damn it."] NOTE: Due to Batista being fired, HBK is the winner of the match. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMERCIAL BREAK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho None Title Match Referee: Earl Hebner [With Randy Orton in the ring on his back, Jericho crosses the ropes and hits the Lion Sault. Earl Hebner then counts to three and signals for the bell. Jericho's music begins to play and Y2J begins to celebrate until referee Earl Hebner makes his way to the ring and informs Hebner that Randy Orton had his foot under the bottom rope and then shows the footage. Hebner and Patrick review the footage and Earl informs Howard Finkle that the match will continue. Jericho stands in the ring dissapointed as Randy Orton sneaks from behind and rolls him up in a school boy pin for the win. Ortons music hits and the referee raises his hand in victory.] Winner: Randy Orton (0:17:46) [After the match, Randy Orton celebrates at the top of the ramp and holds his title up high. As Orton turns around and begins to make his way to the back, he is speered out of no where by none other than Edge! Edge then gets in Orton's face and informs him that it will be him who he faces at RETRIBUTION for the Heavyweight Title. The crowd goes nuts and begins to chant "EDGE" as PWA fades out.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FUSION ENDS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
