| Venue: The Mobile Civic Center Arena City/State: Mobile, Alabama -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FUSION BEGINS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [The PWA copyright logo appears and "Step Up" by Drowning Pool begins to play. Suddenly, the pyros begin to blast from the roof of the Mobile Civic Center Arena as the fans go nuts.] Jim Ross: Ladies and gentlemen, just less than a week off an event with catostrophic events, PWA Fusion is live! Jerry Lawler: Summerslam was definately off the chain! Randy Orton still the PWA Champion! Jim Ross: With Orton still champ, the question is, who is the new number one contender and tonight we'll find out who will battle the champ at our next pay per view, RETRIBUTION as "Stone Cold" attempts to gain the number one contendership back when he battles Batista! Jerry Lawler: And our champ will be in action! Jim Ross: That's right because tonight Orton takes on The Undertaker in a none title match! Jerry Lawler: But what about the huge Ladder Match tonight! John Cena battles Jeff Hardy for the number one contendership for the Television Championship! Jim Ross: That huge Ladder Match is definately going to be one for the ages... [Suddenly, REVOLUTION's music hits and the PWA Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton along with the one half of the Tag Team Champions and the new Television Champion, Brock Lesnar, the former Womens Champion, Lita, and the returning Chris Jericho holding his Tag Team Title. REVOLUTION enters the ring and poses as cameras from all angles flash. Orton then grabs the microphone and begins to speak.] Randy Orton: Well look whose still the champ! You see, it seemed as if nobody believed me when I said I would walk in and walk out Summerslam. And perhaps the most shocking thing according to JR after the match was I believe he said "he did it fair and square" and you're absolutely right JR. I did it all on my own without the help of REVOLUTION. But I'm not the only one who walked out of Summerslam successful, just as our new TV Champ, Brock. [Orton hands the microphone to Brock Lesnar.] Brock Lesnar: They said the odds were stacked against Edge. The whole damn match was focused on Edge. Well by the looks of it, Edge didn't come out so good did he? In fact, he didn't come out at all, but look who did. Me! One half of the Tag Team Champions and now the new Television Champion. Now if I'm correct, REVOLUTION had three matches at Summerslam. I won my match. Orton won his match. So why does REVOLUTION have a defeat on their flawless record? Oh yea, Lita... [All of REVOLUTION turns to Lita who looks on in an innocent look.] Brock Lesnar: Can you explain your actions? Lita: There were too many of them. I couldn't beat all of them. Brock Lesnar: Well there weren't too many for Trish now were there? Obviously not since she has your title. Lita: Guys, it's okay. I got it covered because I'm gonna use my rematch clause in my contract to get us back the Womens Title, trust me. Brock Lesnar: Okay, thats great. But wait, theres a rumour going around that REVOLUTION will soon be losing two more titles. Vince McMahon is said to be stripping us from the Tag Titles. Now why is that Chris Jericho? Chris Jericho: Why you asking me? I mean I think I've done my part in this tag team. Brock Lesnar: What? You've done your part? I've carried you with one damn arm boy! You're the reason why we're being stripped and it's all because of your little of your little leg. Remember? Your match with Taker several weeks back? You hurt your little leg with forbided us from defending the titles at Summerslam? Chris Jericho: Wait a second here junior, you're not gonna put this on me. My leg injury was and still is legit. Brock Lesnar: Well how about I beat your ass right now so damn bad you'll forget all about your leg? Chris Jericho: Oh yea? Well how about I take my leg here and shove it up your ass so far you'll... [Suddeny, Orton nails Jericho from behind with the Heavyweight Title. Lesnar and Orton then begins stomping away at Jericho. Lesnar picsk Chris up and delivers the F-5 in the middle of the ring as Orton stands over him spitting in his face. Randy Orton then picks up the microphone.] Randy Orton: Jericho, REVOLUTION is pleased to announce that you've been replaced! Please welcome the newest member of REVOLUTION..."HBK" Shawn Michaels! [HBK's music hits and HBK strolls down to the ring as the fans look on in shock. Michaels enters the ring as Orton and Lesnar pull Jericho to his feet. HBK then tunes up for Sweet Chin Music and kicks Jericho right in the face. HBK then picks up Jericho's Tag Title and looks at Lesnar. HBK then tries on the title and exits the ring along with Orton, Lesnar, and Lita as PWA fades to a commercial break.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Rock vs. The Giant w/ Paul Heyman Singles Match Referee: Tim White [As The Rock makes it to his feet, The Giant grabs him by the throat and attempts a Chokeslam, but Rock is able to kick The Giant in the mid section and nail a Rock Bottom. Paul Heyman then jumps on the apron and Rock nails him as well. The Rock then puts on the final touches and hits the People's Elbow for the three count.] Winner: The Rock (0:6:44) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Backstage Segment [The Giant and Paul Heyman are in the backstage area as Vince McMahon approaches them.] Vince McMahon: Giant, I believed that your performace at Summerslam was unreal. You annihilated Rock, but I'm dissapointed that the same didn't occure tonight. So what shall I do? Well since I'm in the a good mood today after becoming the US Champ last Sunday, I think I'll let you off easy and just fire you. Paul Heyman: Wait, you can't fire him Vince for one match! Vince McMahon: You're right, your fired too so get the hell out of my arena! [Vince calls for security who then come over and escort Paul Heyman and The Giant.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit vs. "DDP" Diamond Dallas Page Singles Match Referee: Brian Hebner [As Benoit and DDP get ready for their match, Vince McMahon's music hits and the US Champion makes his way to the ring with a microphone in hand.] Vince McMahon: Gentlemen, if you don't mind I'd like to have this time to make an announcement so with out any further delay, the two of you...ARE FIRED! [Vince McMahon, once again calls for security who then make their way to the ring and escort Benoit and DDP out of the arena.] Vince McMahon: Now, as many of you can tell, this past Sunday night, the best man won and no I'm not talking about Randy Orton. I'm talking about me! I, Vince McMahon became the United States Champion and since then, many superstars find that quite unfair. Now why is it unfair for me to hold the title? Many believe it's because of Triple H who turned his back on HBK. Others believe a chairman such as my slef should have no business in a ring. Well to be honest, both are wrong. You see, I had plans all along to become the US Champion. Triple H just helped me out in the process. But there are many who now wnat a crack at my title. The question is, who deserves to face Vince McMahon for the United States Title? Well being PWA Chairman, I've decided not to defend my title until our next pay per view, RETRIBUTION (crowd boos loudly) and PWA officials have informed me that my opponent for RETRIBUTION will indeed be announced next week on Fusion (crowd boos loudly) which is fine with me. But I didn't come out here to talk about me and the US Title. I came out here to make an Earth shattering announcement about a new championship in the PWA. There's just too much talent and not enough gold to go around so begining next week on Fusion, we're gonna start a little tournament. A Tournament for PWA's newest championship. Next week will mark the first round of the PWA Hardcore Championship! This tournament will consist of quarter, semi, and the final round which will take place in LA at RETRIBUTION. So get ready because starting next week, PWA is getting hard-core! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Victoria vs. Molly Holly #1 Contendership For The Womens Championship Referee: Chad Patton [As Victoria gets ready for her match in the backstage area, she is approached by Vince McMahon who then informs her that she and her opponent, Molly are both fired!] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Ross: Well folks, a huge announcement from Vince McMahon! Next week on Fusion will mark the first round of the Hardcore Title Tournament with it culminating at RETRIBUTION is LA in Dodger Stadium. Also, Vince showing ruthless aggression by firing a total of six superstars including The Giant, Paul Heyman, Chris Benoit, DDP, Victoria, and Molly Holly! Vince making some huge cuts on the PWA roster but next, a huge Triple Threat match between Triple H, Kane, and the newest member of REVOLUTION, HBK! But first, let's take a look at the United States Championship match from Summerslam... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summerslam Recap -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "HBK" Shawn Michaelsvs. Kane vs. Triple H Triple Threat Match Referee: Charles Robinson [After being Pedigreed by Triple H, Kane lays in the middle of the unconscious. As Triple H gets up, HBK hits the Sweet Chin Music from no where laying out Triple H for the three count.] Winner: "HBK" Shawn Michales (0:11:07) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Cena w/ Stacy Keibler vs. Jeff Hardy w/ Trish Stratus Ladder Match; #1 Contendership For The TV Championship Referee: Jack Doan [As Cena gets ready for his match, a masked man attacks him from behind with a steale chair and begins dominating Cena before he can even enter the ring area. Jeff Hardy, Cena's opponent sees what is happening and quickly runs overa nd pulls the masked man off. The masked man then looks at Hardy and begins pulling his mask off and it is none ther than Matt Hardy. Jeff looks at Matt and then also begins stomping away at Cena. Eric Bischoff approaches the Hardys as they continue the assualt and informs them that theres no reason to continue because it's obvious Cena will not be competing therefore, Jeff Hardy wins. Bischoff hands Jeff the contract and a pen. Jeff signs the contract as PWA fades to a commercial. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Backstage Interview Michael Cole: Jeff Hardy, congratulations, you are now the official number one contender for the TV Title and also to your engagement to Trish Stratus. Jeff Hardy: Thanks, and next week, Trish and I will wed live on Fusion but I just wanna say thanks to my returning brother Matt! Michael Cole: Are you and Matt a tag team again? Jeff Hardy: Not just us, but we also have back up. In fact, we have perhaps the most "deadly combination" to back us up. Michael Cole: You don't mean... Jeff Hardy: Hmmm, makes you think doesn't it? [Suddenly, from no where, Jeff Hardy is attacked by Christian of all people. Christian stomps away at Jeff's body and then picks up his TV Title contract and crumbles it up and sticks it in Jeff's own mouth and finally walks away before EMTS and Security are able to arrive to the scene.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brock Lesnar & Kevin Nash vs. Sting & Edge (Deadly Combo.) Tag Team Match Referee: Mike Chioda [Lesnar hits the F-5 on Sting and goes for the cover but Edge breaks it up. Nash then enters the ring and ties it up with the former TV Champ, Edge. Nash sends Edge to the ropes and goes for a big boot, but Edge ducks and Kevin Nash nails Brock with the boot. As Nash turns around, Edge delivers the speer and pins Nash for the win. After the match and the Deadly Combination had left the ring area, Brock and Nash make it to their feet and begin to brawl in the ring until security broke up the two men. Finally, Shane McMahon appears on the ramp and informs both men that next week live on Fusion, we will see Kevin Nash battle Brock Lesnar inside of a Steele Cage for the Television Championship!] Winner(s): Sting & Edge (0:10:20) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Backstage Segment [As Brock enters his locker room, Orton leaves for his match with Taker. HBK and Brock are left in the room as Eric Bischoff knocks on the door and enters.] Eric Bischoff: Great news guys. Vince McMahon has allowed me to do what I want with the Tag Title stiuation so I now officially declare HBK and Brock Lesnar new PWA Tag Team Champions! Brock Lesnar: Great! Looks like things are seemingly changing for us for the better. Shawn Michaels: REVOLUTION...at the top of it's game just like I was on top of "The Game" Triple H ealier tonight! Brock Lesnar: And just like next week when I'm top of the cage climbing down for another win! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton None Title Match Referee: Nick Patrick [As Taker sneds Orton to the ropes, he catches him with a Chokeslam and goes for the pin but only to get a two count. Undertaker then picsk Orton up for a Tombstone but Orton escapes and then rolls Taker up for a schoolboy pin but to no avail. Then, both Brock and HBK appear on the stage which distracts Taker. As Taker looks on at the new Tag Team Champs, Orton comes from no where and hits the RKO and the quick cover to win the match. After leaves the ring along with Brock and HBK, Taker sets up as the lights go out in the arena. Takers music begins to play as a voice begins to speak over the PA system.] Voice: You have awaken the spirits. One deadly army. Many soldiers with in. Souls shall cry. Rest...in...peace... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cactus Jack Vignette -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Batista #1 Contendership For The Heavyweight Championship Referee: Earl Hebner [Austin goes for the Stunner but Batista shoves him against the ropes and Austin falls to the outside of the ring. Batista follows Austin to the outside and then sends him face first in to the ring post. Austin falls down hard and begins bleeding from the head. Batista enters the ring again as the referee continues to count. The ref reaches ten and then calls for the bell and Batista's hand is raised in victory. Batista then goes outside again and picks Austin up and delivers a power bomb right through the announcers table.
