Location: Atlanta, Georgia Venue: The Phillips Arena ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Dark Matches] Booker T vs. Jeff Jarrett Draw [00:06:24] Kurt Angle vs. Rob Conway Draw [00:07:40] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Fusion Begins] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [The PWA copyright logo appears and "Step Up" by Drowning Pool hits. The pyros begin to blast through out the Phillips Arena in Atlanta. The crowd goes nuts as PWA kicks off live on ESPN.] Jim Ross: Welcome, everyone to PWA Fusion, live on ESPN! After the shocking event which occured on Adrenaline, Thursday, what in the world can we expect tonight? Jerry Lawler: Well, J. R., all three men, Randy Orton, Batista, and the new Heavyweight Champion, Triple H, will be in action tonight! Jim Ross: That's right. Tonight, Jeff Hardy battles "The Game" and Orton and Batista will team up to battle the Tag Team Champions, Shelton Benjamin and Chris Benoit! [Suddenly, Brock Lesnar's music hits and "The Next Big Thing" makes his way to the ring as the crowd boos loudly.] Jim Ross: What is this? Brock Lesnar? [Lesnar jumps on to the apron as the pyros blast and then enters the ring and grabs the microphone.] Brock Lesnar: You know something...I want to know...what in the hell is going on here? I've busted my damn ass for the PWA for the last six months and where has it got me? The T. V. Title, Tag Team Titles, and hell, I even got to hold the Heavyweight Title for about two weeks, but I still do not get the respect that I deserve! I deserve that PWA Heavyweight Championship and I deserve it a lot more than Batista and a hell of a lot more than Triple H, but if the PWA wants to continue screwing me time after time after time...then that's it...I'm out. [Brock drops the microphone and simply leaves the ring and makes his way to the back as PWA fades to a commercial.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Commercial Break] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Backstage Segment] [As PWA returns from commercial break, Brock is shown carrying his bags as he leaves the Phillips Arena. Michael Cole runs up to Brock and attempts to get a quick word about what had happend, but Brock simply shoves Cole out of his way and leaves the arena.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ["HBK" Shawn Michaels vs. Matt Hardy] [PWA Hardcore Championship] [Referee: Jack Doan] [HBK whips Hardy to the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but misses. Hardy then kicks Michaels in the gut and goes for a Twist of Fate, but HBK shoves him in to the ropes and rolls him up for a pin, but only gets a two count. Both men return to their feet and begin to go at it. Hardy sneaks in a low blow on Michaels and then grabs a chair that was used ealier in the match. He swings, but HBK ducks and super kicks the chair back in Hardy's face. HBK covers Matt, but Matt kicks out at the last second. Hardy then reaches in to his pants and pulls out a small package of powder and tosses it in HBK's eyes, temporarily blinding him. Hardy then grabs the chair and nails HBK right in the skull and then covers him for the three count.] Winner: Matt Hardy [00:12:43] [After the match, Matt continues the assault until Lita comes to the ring and gets on the top rope and lands a Lita-Conrana on Matt, sending him out of the ring as the crowd goes nuts. Referees then rush to the ring and hold Hardy back as Lita attends to HBK.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Commercial Break] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Interview Segment] [Michael Cole is shown standing by with Carlito Caribbean Cool.] Michael Cole: Carlito, you are moments away from facing John Cena.] Carlito: John Cena? Very...very uncool. Me on the other hand...very cool and tonight...I'm going to school John Cena in what I like to call "coolology." But Michael, Cena is the least of my worries. In fact, I have no worries. I have Jesus. I'm untouchable and Brock Lesnar realized that which is why he hit the bricks. Michael Cole: Excuse me...Brock Lesnar? Carlito: Brock Lesnar. He knew he couldn't go toe to toe with the "Cool One" and therefore, he got the hell out of town. I know it, he knows it, you know it, and all these people know it. Now excuse me, I have a student to teach.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [John Cena vs. Carlito Caribbean Cool w/ Jesus] [Referee: Mike Chioda] [Both men battle on the top rope, but Cena is able to superplex Carlito off the top. Both men lie motionless for a few moments until Carlito crawls over to the corner and is able to grab Cena's chain off the the ring post. Jesus jumps on the apron and distracts the referee and Carlito turns Cena around and nails him, but Carlito also gets nailed as the camera reveals Cena had knucks on his fist. Both men are knocked out as Mike Chioda counts to ten and declares the match a double count out.] Double Count Out [00:09:21] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Commercial Break] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PWA Royal Rumble January 30, PWA returns to where it all began...Madison Square Garden ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Ken Shamrock vs. John Bradshaw Lafield] [Referee: Tim White] [JBL whips Shamrock to the ropes and goes for The Clothesline From Hell, but Ken ducks it and catches JBL with a flying fore arm. JBL gets up and Ken plants him with a belly to belly superplex. Shamrock then signals for the Ankle Lock and applies it on JBL thus making him tap for the win.] Winner: Ken Shamrock [00:09:56] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Commercial Break] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Backstage Segment] [Evolution is shown walking backstage as they run in to Mick Foley.] Randy Orton: Foley...isn't this ironic? Mick Foley: Cut the crap Orton. Triple H and Batista...you two pulled one over on us didn't you. I mean I thought I would actually see a good match between you two, but I have to admit, brilliant. But Triple H, althought your match with Jeff Hardy tonight is a none title match...next week on Fusion, we're going to have something called "Title Wave" which is where for the first time in history, every single PWA Championship will be on the line next week. Triple H: What? You can't do that! Randy Orton: Yea, he can't possibly defend the title next week. He's "The Game". MIck Foley: Oh Randy, don't feel left out because you have a match too. In fact, you have a Triple Threat Match because next week on Fusion, you will defend your T. V. Title against both A. J. Styles and Monty Brown! Randy Orton: What!? That's bull shi... Mick Foley: Oh and have a nice day! [The scene ends with Foley walking away as Evolution looks on in disgust.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Randy Orton & Batista w/ Ric Flair vs. Chris Benoit & Shelton Benjamin] [None Title Match] [Referee: Charles Robinson] [Shelton sends Orton in to the corner and connects with a huge splash as Benoit goes for the Crippler Crossface on Batista, but Batista over powers Benoit and sends him to the ropes and catches him with an elbow. Batista then picks Benoit up and goes for a Batista Bomb, but Shelton chop blocks Batista knee. As Batista gets up, Shelton drop kicks him and sends him over the top rope. Ric Flair then jumps on the apron and distracts the referee as Randy Orton grabs the Television Title and nails Shelton in the face with it and then covers him for the three count.] Winners: Randy Orton & Batista [00:25:54] [After the match, Benoit gets up and attacks Orton sending him out of the ring as Batista rolls back in. Benoit and Batista slug it out. Batista sends Chris to the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Benoit ducks and hooks his arms around Batista and executes three German superplexes as the crowd goes nuts. Benoit releases on the third as his music hits and he and Shelton make their way to the back.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Commercial Break] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Backstage Segment] [Batista barges in to Theodore Long's office.] Batista: Long...I need you to make me a match for Fusion, next week. Theodore Long: What? Are you out of your mind? You just run in here demanding things like you're crazy, playa. Batista: Long, I need you to do this. Foley won't so I need you to make it Chris Benoit and Shelton Benjamin against me for the Tag Titles on Fusion next week. Theodore Long: First off, it's Mr. Long to you and second off, whose going to be your partner? Batista: I have Flair. Theodore Long: Ric Flair? Fine then, next week on Title Wave, you got Benoit and Shelton for the titles, now get the hell out of here before I change my mind. I have other things to worry about. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy] [None Title Match] [Referee: Nick Patrick] [Triple H kicks Hardy in the gut and goes for a Pedigree, but Jeff is able to flip "The Game" over. As Triple H gets up, Hardy kicks him in the gut and plants a DDT, but only gains a two count when he covers him. Ric Flair then runs to the ring area and hops on the apron and distracts the referee as Randy Orton comes in the ring from the crowd with the Television Title. Orton goes to nail Jeff, but Hardy ducks and Orton nails Triple H. Jeff drop kicks Orton out of the ring and then climbs to the top and hits the Swanton Bomb on Triple H for the win.] Winner: Jeff Hardy [00:17:23] Jim Ross: Oh my God! He did it! Jerry Lawler: What in the hell? Jim Ross: Jeff Hardy has defeated the champion. This makes Hardy's second time defeated the Heavyweight Champion in a none title match. Of course, the first time was Orton and now he's defeated Triple H! Jerry Lawler: I don't get it. I'm in loss of words.
