| Venue: The SBC Center City/State: San Antonio, Texas -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FUSION BEGINS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [The PWA copyright logo appears and "Step Up'" by Drowning Pool begins to play. Suddenly the pyros begin to blast through out the SBC Center as the San Antonio crowd goes nuts. Suddenly, REVOLUTION's music hits and PWA's Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring limping on a cruch.] Jim Ross: What in the hell is this? Jerry Lawler: What you mean? Obviously he's hurt. Jim Ross: I've been in this business long enough to know what this guy is pulling. He's trying to get out of his match at RETRIBUTION! Jerry Lawler: Why on Earth would he do that? Orton's undefeated. He has nothing to prove to you, this crowd, or especially Edge! Jim Ross: You're right! He is the champ, he is undefeated and he doesn't have anything to prove but if he's such a big shot then why does he go and pull a stunt like this? [Orton hobbles in to the ring and is handed the microphone by Howard Finkle.] Randy Orton: I just want everyone here to take a real good look at me. I want everyone to now take a good look at the screen because i have some footage I'd like you to see. [Orton points to the big screen as footage of last week's Fusion plays and Edge is shown speering Randy Orton and informing him that it will be him facing Orton for the title at RETRIBUTION.] Randy Orton: Did you see that? That S.O.B speered me out of no where on the ramp! Not only did I hurt my head but I may have twisted my ankle. Now I visited my doctor several days ago and he informed absolutely no wrestling for a while and that includes RETRIBUTION. I tried to reason with the doctor but he wouldn't listen. I said "doc, I have to wrestle. I have a huge match with Edge at RETRIBUTION" and he would have none of it so sorry Edge, I tried but RETRIBUTION is out of the question. [Suddenly, "You Think You Know Me" hits and the number one contender for Orton's title makes his way to the ring with a microphone in hand.] Edge: Orton...all I hear when you open your mouth is just a bunch of bull sh*t and you damn well know it! I know it and all these people know it. Just be honest with your self Orton. You're scared. You're scared because you know the clock is ticking away. The time is near. Time for you to drop that title! At RETRIBUTION, mark my words...I WILL PREVAIL! Randy Orton: What? Are the freezing temperatures in Canada freezing your brain? The doctor said no RETRIBUTION! That means for me and for you! It's out of the question. [Suddenly, PWA's second Commissioner, Ric Flair's song begins top play and the "Nature Boy" appears on the top of the ramp with a microphone in hand.] Ric Flair: Woooooooooo! Randy Orton! You have got your story all wrong pal! I know what your pulling. I know because I've done it! And it always failed so Orton, like it or not...hurt ankle or not...you will face Edge for the Heavyweight Title on October 31, but wait, it gets better. Your match with Batista was set to be a Last Man Standing Match but your match with Edge is going to be some what different. See, when I see you and Edge in the ring, I see two hungary, young, stallions. I see two men in the prime of their careers so what shall we do with two soon-to-be icons? I know, let's put them in the ring for sixty minutes! I believe it's called an Iron Man Match! [Orton looks at flair in disbelief.] Ric Flair: That's right! One on one, man to man, bell to bell. Sixty minutes...the man with the most wins at the end of the hour will be the Heavyweight Champion. Randy Orton: What the...that's not fair. I'm hurt! I'm injured! I can't go to RETRIBUTION and not for no hour! [As Orton continues to complain, he turns around only to be speered by Edge in the middle of the ring. The crowd goes nuts as Edge picks up Orton's belt and holds it up in the air as PWA fades to a commercial break.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abyss vs. Shelton Benjamin Singles Match Referee: Mike Chioda [Abyss sends Benjamin to the ropes but Shelton reverses and whips Abyss in to the corner. Shelton follows up with a huge splash in the corner. Abyss staggers to the center of the ring as Shelton climbs the ropes and attempts a drop kick but misses. As Shelton staggers up, Abyss sends him to the ropes and catches him with the Black Hole for the three count.] Winner: Abyss (0:6:08) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Backstage Interview w/ Shelton Benjamin Michael Cole: Well Shelton, great match but unfortunately, you weren't able to over power the monster Abyss in his debut in PWA. Shelton Benjamin: Well, you win some, you lose some but that's not gonna stop me of reaching my dream. That same dream each and every other wrestler in PWA has and that's to become the PWA Heav... [Benjamin is interupted by none other than Carlito Carribean Cool.] Carlito Caribean: So this is the PWA? This is the hottest thing in wrestling huh? Well it sure wasn't...but it is now because now the PWA is cool! Now the PWA has Carlito Caribean Cool and you Shelton Benjamin, losing out there...that's not cool.I I spit in the faces of those who are not cool and Shelton Benjamin...you're not cool so... [Carlito spits in Shelton's face and decks him with a hard right sending Benjamin down as security scatter over to break it up.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lita vs. Chrisy Hemme Singles Match Referee: Jimmy Korderas [With Chrisy down, Lita climbs to the top to attempt a moonsault. As Lita flips, none other than the current PWA Womens Champion, Trish Stratus moves Chrisy out of the way causing Lita to hit hard. As Lita gets up, Christy is able to nail a power bomb for the three count.] Winner: Chrisy Hemme (0:10:01) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit vs. Shaggy 2 Dope Singles Match Referee: Brian Hebner [With Shaggy down, Benoit goes up top and attempts the Diving Head-butt but Shaggy moves allowing Benoit to hit the canvas face first. Shaggy then crawls over to a knocked out Benoit and covers him for the three count.] Winner: Shaggy 2 Dope (0:10:06) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Val Venis vs. Kane Singles Match Referee: Mike Sparks [As Val Venis pounds on Kane in the corner, Kane grabs him by the throat and tosses him in the corner and begins pounding away. Kane then lets Val out of the corner and sends him to the ropes and catches him with a chokeslam. Kane chokeslams Val to hell and then covers him for the three count.] Winner: Kane (0:9:24) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardcore Tournament Recap -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle 2nd Round - Hardcore Title Tournament Referee: Tim White [Kurt Angle snaps on the Ankle Lock on a wounded Guerrero and begins twisting the ankle clockwise. Eddie then gets up and begins hopping on one foot and is able to roll under Angle and grab his legs for a pin.] Winner: Eddie Guerrero (0:13:04) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goldust vs. Mark Jindrak 2nd Round - Hardcore Title Tournament Referee: Jack Doan [Jindrak sends Goldust to the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Goldust ducks. Before Mark can turn around, Goldust grabs his neck from behind and hits the Curtain Call for the three count.] Winner: Goldust (0:12:26) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Jericho vs. Raven Singles Match Referee: Chad Patton [Raven kicks Jericho in the gut and goes for the Even Flow DDT but Jericho is able to flip Raven over. Jericho then crosses the ropes and nails the Lion Sault as Chad Patton counts to three.] Winner: Chris Jericho (0:11:45) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stone Cold vs. The Rock Vignette -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Rock Singles Match Referee: Earl Hebner [Austin hits the Stunner and goes for the pin only to recieve a two count. As the match progresses, The Rock is able to get in a kick to the gut followed by a beutiful DDT. Rock then sets up for the People's Elbow and connects. The Rock then begins to stalk Austin as he staggers up. Austin turns around and Rock plants the Rock Bottom in the center of the ring for the win.] Winner: The Rock (0:15:27) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Backstage Interview w/ Jeff Hardy Mark Lloyd: Jeff Hardy, last week you nearly shocked the world by almost becoming TV Champion. Jeff Hardy: Almost is right. I may have almost become TV Champion, but make no mistake about it, tonight there will be no mistakes when I show Christian and Gangrel whats in store for them at RETRIBUTION! [Suddenly, Jeff is interupted by Carlito Caribean Cool.] Carlio Caribean: Jeff Hardy...almost becoming TV Champion...that's pretty cool...but not cool enough. You see, I explained to Shelton Benjamin that I dislike those who are uncool and Jeff, hate to tell you, but you're not cool so... [Before Carlito can spit in Jeff's face, Hardy spits in Carlito's face and simply walks off.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brock Lesnar, HBK, Christian, & Gangrel vs. Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Sting, & The Undertaker 8 Man Tag Team Match Referee: Nick Patrick [As chaos consumes the ring, Sting and HBK battle to the top of the ramp as the referee dictates order in the ring. HBK sets up Sting for Sweet Chin Music until Mr. McMahon comes out of no where and clobbers HBK with a steal chair sending HBK flying off of the ramp through a table. Mean while, The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar battle it out on the outside of the ring. Taker grabs Brock by the neck and chokeslams him on the mat. In the ring, Matt Hardy and Gangrel battle as Jeff and Christian slug it out. The referee turns his back on Jeff and Christian to try and separate Gangrel and Matt. From no where, Carlito Caribean Cool sprints to the ring with a pair of brass knuckles in hand and clobbers Jeff Hardy in the skull with them. As Carlito looks at the damage he has done, Shelton Benjamin sprints to the ring and begins pounding away at Carlito. Benjamin clotheslines Carlito to the outside and jumps over the ropes after him. The Undertaker then enters the ring and grabs both Christian and Gangrel and chokeslams both men to hell. Brock Lesnar then begins to brawl with Taker. The referee then has no other alternative but to signal for the bell making the match a draw.] DRAW (0:23:05) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bill Goldberg vs. Kevin Nash SIngles Match Referee: Brian Hebner [Goldberg whips Nash to the ropes and goes for a speer but Nash dodges it and gives Bill a stiff knee to the head. Goldberg goes down hard and Nash picks him back up and hits the Jackknife Powerbomb for the win.] Winner: Kevin Nash (0:12:24) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Razor Ramon vs. Bret "The Hitman" Heart Singles Match Referee: Charles Robinson [Bret applies the Sharpshooter to Razor Ramon and Ramon has no alternative but to tap out.] Winner: Bret Hart (0:13:05) [After the match, Nash runs to the ring in attempt to assault Bret for a second time but to avail as Hart sweeps Nash off his feet and applies the Sharpshooter and makes Nash tap as PWA officials rush to the ring as PWA fades to a commercial.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commercial Break -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edge vs. Big Show Main Event Referee: Earl Hebner [Big Show grabs Edge by the neck, but Edge delivers a thumb to the eye and goes in the corner to get ready for a speer but is suddenly hit with a cruch as Randy Orton enters the ring. The referee quickly signs for the bell and pronounces Edge the winner.] Winner: Edge (0:17:03) [After the match, Orton continues to bash Edge with the cruch until PWA officials and security rush to the ring to pull Orton off a helpless Edge.] Jim Ross: See, I told you, there's not a damn thing wrong with him! Jerry Lawler: It's a mircacle! Orton can walk again! Jim Ross: Miracle my fat Oklahoma ass! That SOB pulled one over and is now assaulting Edge! [Orton then gets out of the ring and holds the title up high for all to see as PWA faedes out with Orton smiling at the damage he has done.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fusion Ends -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
