Mi ,dole potpisani ,zahtevamo da odmah prestane uništavanje srpskog kulturnog nasleda od strane albanske "Oslobodilacke" armije Kosova ,u vidu rušenja srednjovekovnih manastira i crkava.
Isto tako trazimo od voda NATO-a i od albanskih voda, tj. gospode Robertsona i Rugove, da pronadu mogucnosti za zaštitu ovog jedinstvenog kulturnog blaga od daljeg besmislenog uništavanja.

Die Klöster und Kirchen aus dem Mittelalter werden geplündert und zerstört.

schnell die Möglichkeiten zu finden um die weitere sinnlose Ausrottung des einmaliegen Kulturschatzes

The barbaric destruction of the gigantic Buddhas in Afganistan has provoked a justified hue of worldwide protests. Believers and nonbelievers alike, all civilized people are recoiling in pain at this intolerable assault on culture. It is not only an attack on the artistic heritage of mankind, but also on human history and our collective memory.
Sadly, as I write these lines, the Taliban has already reduced to a pile of rubble the sandstone cliffs where pious Buddhist monks infused a soul so long ago. None of the great powers has dared to send troops into the Afghan's hornet's nest to save those priceless treasures. Even if, to some extent, this failure can be justified by the wish to save human lives, one cannot understand how, in Kosovo, in the heart of Europe, in the presence of U.N. troops, the West is unflinchingly witnessing the destruction of the monuments of a civilization which, in the final analysis, is one of its own. Who can believe commanders of the United Nations' Kosovo Protection Force (KFOR) - an army of 40,000 soldiers and 2,000 policemen deployed in an area no larger than a single department of France- who say they do not have sufficient means to protect the Serb communities from Albanian extremists nor to stop the destruction of almost a hundred * churches and monasteries, some of which were adorned with magnificent frescoes dating back to the Middle Ages? How is it that the same western leaders and intellectuals who only yesterday were demonizing the Serbs with allegations of all crimes imaginable, are so cowardly silent today?
For how long will the Western leaders be able to close their eyes to a reality that will surely boomerang as did the wartime misdeeds of the Nazis. No, tomorrow, our leaders will not have the right to say, "We did not know". Orthodox churches are being dynamited, Serb houses set aflame , and old cemeteries desecrated, all in the presence of the troops of that same "international community" that is trying to impose itself as the supreme judge of good and evil.
Whether it is the peak of cynicism or insensitivity,we are now being told that the commander of the allied troops in Kosovo, an accomplice of the terrorists, is thinking of entrusting the protection of those Orthodox shrines still standing to the former soldiers of the Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army! Even Hitler himself didn't dare to push perfidy so far as to entrust the protection of synagogues to the units of his SS! If this news is confirmed, we might as well put a cross on the last vestige of the jewels of medieval art which, despite being formally under Unesco's protection, have become, as the giant Buddhas, mute witnesses of a civilization put to death.
But let's not fool ourselves, their disappearance will also be our moral defeat and the world's power- brokers will not have an easy conscience when trying to persuade us that this destruction is what the Serbs deserved for their crimes. And who, after the the big petroleum companies have elaborated their plans to run pipelines across the Balkan peninsula, can still believe that the war against Yugoslavia was a "humanitarian" war?

19. 12. 1999.Postovane dame i gospodo, dragi prijatelji, postovane kolege i koleginice
Bogata kulturno-istorijska srpska bastina na Kosovu i Metohiji prosto je vapila i za svojim kartografskim prikazom. Gotovo 10 godina trajalo je prikupljanje gradje, a realizacija karte godinu ipo dana. U svom prvom prikazu izrade karte prikazano je oko 800 toponima dok u prikazu ,,Srpski belezi na Kosovu i Metohiji" prikazano je 1909 toponima. Od toga 1134 crkvena hrama, 102 manastira, 38 isposnica, 6 spomen-kapela i spomen kosturnica, sto ukupno cini 1280 crkvenih zdanja. Dodajmo jos 96 tvrdjava, stare gradove i 14 dvoraca, broj se povecava na 1390 kao i stara srpska groblja sto ukupno cini 1909 toponima. Po evidenciji iz 1998. na Kosovu i Metohiji evidentirano je 1.449 naselja. Karta sadrzi viise toponima nego naselja. Na karti ih ima oko 1.500, sa prosecnim rastojanjem toponima da je do 3 km, dok preracunima sa pomenutih 1909 iznosi 2,6 km. Ako bi se oduzela povrsina visokih planina, gustina je daleko veca, a rastojanja kraca. Da li neka zemlja u svetu moze da se pohvali sa ovolikim brojem spomenika kulture. Napominjem da spisak nije konacan.
Indeks sa odrednicama sadrzi prikaz sudbinu svakog zdanja kao na primer da je na temeljima srusene crkve podignuta dzamija ili su od tog materijala gradjene privatne kuce i drugi objekti.
Pored ove karte tu je i manja karta sa pregledom razrusenih, popaljenih, opljackanih pravoslavnih manastira i crkava, koje su mnoge srednjevekovne albanski teroristi unistili od dolaska najeminentnije svetske Organizacije ujedinjenih nacija i vojne misije KFOR-a 13. juna do polovine novembra ove godine. Podaci su uzeti na osnovu evidencije Eparhije rasko-prizrenske i izdanja ,,Raspeto Kosovo", i to samo za ona podrucja koja su bila dostupna Srbima u ovom trenutku. Za sada je evidentirano 76.
Skrecem paznju da se radi o karti administrativne podele Autonomne pokrajine Kosovo i Metohije, a ne o Kosovu. Zasto se izbegava rec Metohija, pogotovu u zapadnim sredstvima informisanja. Rec metoh u srednjovekovnoj Srbiji podrazumevala je malu crkvu i pored nje malo zemlje sa stanom za monahe. Kasnije poprima znacenje da svaki manastir koji su ktitori prilozili nekom vecem manastiru i podlozili njegovoj upravi. U danasnjem smislu podrazumeva svako imanje jednog manastira koje je udaljeno od njega. To ova karta potvrdjuje. U proslogodisnjem brojcano najvecem divljanju terorista, i pronadjena su najveca stratista Srba upravo na prostoru Metohije, kao i sadasnja stradanja crkvenih zdanja. Pominjanje reci Kosovo podrazumeva Malo Kosovo, Kosovo Polje, Sirinicku zupu i Kosovsko pomoravlje, dok ,,albansko Kosovo" (pisu ga Kosova, a izgovaraju ga Kosove), ima sasvim drugi teritorijalni prikaz po kartama ,,Velike Albanije". Sva sreca sto je razlika u jednom slovu. Posmatrajuci prostor Kosova i Metohije vidi se da je celo pokriveno toponimima, postavlja se logicno pitanje: gde su ti zitelji i neimari, kao i njihovi potomci danas? Gde su? Danasnji datum je = decembar 1999. = dana do 1. januara 2.000 godine.
Zahvaljujem na saradnji gospodji Dragici Nikolic, gospodi Jovanu Pejinu, Milanu Ivanovicu i Marinu Conicu, kao i Republickom zavodu za zastitu spomenika kulture, bez kojih ne bi bila objavljena ova karta kao jedan istorijski dokument prezentovan na srpskom i engleskom jeziku.

KOSTUNICA: OSUDJENO RUSENJE PRAVOSLAVNIH HRAMOVA NA KOSOVU I METOHIJI
BEOGRAD (Tanjug) Predsednik SRJ Vojislav Kostunica i delegacija medjunarodnog mirovnog susreta poglavara vojnih svestenickih sluzbi jednodusno su osudili rusenje i unistavanje pravoslavnih hramova na Kosovu i Metohiji koji predstavljaju kulturno i versko nasledje, ne samo srpskog i ostalih pravoslavnih naroda, vec i celokupne hriscanske civilizacije. Kako je saopsteno iz Kabineta predsednika SRJ, u razgovoru tokom prijema u Palati federacije, posebno je naglasena potreba da se svetska javnost upozna sa razmerama razaranja tog neprocenjivog kulturnog blaga i da se ucini sve kako bi se zaustavilo dalje unistavanje pravoslavnih crkava i manastira i obnovili poruseni verski objekti. Sagovornici su izrazili nadu da ce Balkan prestati da bude podrucje nesigurnosti i da ce postati region u kome vlada mir i spokojan zivot svih etnickih i verskih zajednica koje zive u njemu.
KOSTUNICA, CHAPLAINS CONDEMN DESTRUCTION OF KOSOVO'S SERBIAN CHURCHES
BELGRADE, May 3 (Tanjug) Yugoslavia's president and a delegation from an international conference of army chaplains unanimously condemned in Belgrade on Thursday the destruction of Serbian religious facilities in UNruled KosovoMetohija. According to Vojislav Kostunica and the chaplains in the armed forces, the churches and monasteries in that Serbian (Yugoslav) province with an ethnic Albanian majority are the cultural and religious heritage of the Serbs and other Eastern Church nations, as well as of the Christian civilisation as a whole. The need was stressed of informing the world public about the extent of the destruction of this priceless wealth, preventing further destruction and rebuilding the damaged or destroyed facilities, a statement from the presidential cabinet said. It was hoped that the Balkans would stop being a region of insecurity and become a region of peace and harmony for all ethnic and religious communities living there, the statement added.
