We live in the back woods of Virginia, where all ya here is country.  So, in order to play good music, we play it ourselves

History

FUSE is the product of years of blood, sweat, and a striving to create music that makes ya raise your fist, bang your head, and say "damn.....now THAT is good music"  The beginnings were humble.  Four guys practicing in a shed in the middle of winter, with the cold wind blowing thru the cracks in the wall.  That was february of 1991, and that original lineup was called Virgin Mary.  That included Matt Barfield on vocals, Sean Wade on guitars, T-Bone on drums, and Jason Clark on bass.  In one short year, Virgin Mary was writing originals like pros, and gaining popularity in the Tidewater area with astounding speed.  By 1995, Virgin Mary had put out 2 4-track demos and 1 full length tape.  However, Virgin Mary was not destined to remain the same.  Shortly after the full length tape was released, T-Bone and Jason decided they needed a change.  Thus Virgin Mary became a stepping stone in what was to become Fuse.  Before there was Fuse though, there was Clockwork Orange, the brainchild of Matt and Sean.  There, Matt and Sean possibly wrote some of their best music ever, but the chemistry in the band was not the same.  Meanwhile, T-Bone was honing his drumming skills in another band, while Jason dabbled with personal side projects.  After a one-time reunion concert with all original members as Virgin Mary in 1997, it was clear that there was something magical with this group.  Fuse was formed.  The writing and practicing started once again with renewed fervor.  When Jason decided to finally leave the band once again, longtime roadie/friend/and all around lunatic Cubby was asked to fill in while a search for a new bassist ensued.  However, Cubby just fit in too well, and was made the permanent bassist.  Which brings you to the year 2000....with an energy and drive, Fuse is preparing to unleash upon the world music that rips away the "cookie-cutter crap" that has been stagnating music in the 90s, and brings back what rock is supposed to be...driving, in your face, dirty, sexual, no holds barred rock.  It will be ready to take over the world by the end of Sept...then the Fuse reign will begin!!!!
