 History

The party was created in 1973 by the Polish Jew Yitzhak Shamir (1915- ) and others right-wings Zionists. Yitzhak Shamir - who in the past was searched and arrested by the Britannic Army due terrorist acts, in 1983 became its leader, and First Minister of the State of Israel, upon the retirement of the Russian Jew Menachem Begin (1913-1992) who before the independence of the Zionist state have commanded the Irgun organization and also was searched by terrorist acts, like the summary execution of captured Britannic soldiers. Begin sat in the Knesset (the parliament of the Zionist state) after 1949 as leader of the right-wing Herut party. Another First Minister by Likud was the General Ariel Sharon (1928- ) who - beside other genocidal acts - is accused allowed the Sabra and Chatila massacre (1982) when State of Israel’s allied Christian Lebanese forces carnage Palestinian refugees who have fled from Zionist oppression and were supposedly under Sharon's protection. Ever time using the argument of the Israeli security, Likud in general supports the massacre and expulsion of Palestinian populations and their substitution by Jewish colonists; practices of state terrorism as launch rockets against refugee camps where these live in misery; the permanence of the no Jews as second class citizens in the Zionist state; the economic and military colonization of the Middle East and other characteristically segregationist attitudes. The international politic of the Likud was a loyal supporter of the South African apartheid.
