Hate Group/ Extremist Organization

Likud, the Primer Minister Ariel Sharon's segregationist party

Extremist Meaning or Representation

The Shield of David represents the Jewish power and the two blue stripes represents the two rivers (Euphrates, in actual Iraq, in north; Nile, in Egypt, in south) that limits the territories reclaimed by Zionists. The Star also represents that the State of Israel is first a country for the Jewish population - compare with the KKK symbol, the Nazi flag and with the South Africa flag in the apartheid years - and the Jews are the only one ethnic-religious group with the privilege of its individuals automatically receive their right of citizenship independently of the region of the world they born. The German Nazi regime used a similar system for the Aryans of the world.

Background/ History

This flag  was adopted by the first Zionist Congress in Basle in 1897, and became accepted by Jewish communities throughout the world as the emblem of Zionism. On November 29, 1947 when the Jewish communities celebrated the United Nations partition resolution, they had hoisted the flag of the World Zionist Organization and used it as a unifying symbol. In October 28, 1948 the Zionist flag was officially adopted  by Israeli State.
