Mildura 2006

The House of the Chaffey brothers from California who began irrigation farming in Mildura museum next door.
I turned 180 to see the land and Murray River -just visible- in centre from what was Chaffeys lawns-below.

but palm trees have been removed to make way for concrete gutters.

Wentworth  NSW, which was saved from a big flood in 1957 by a huge levee made with Ferguson tractors


Aboriginals carved out trunk of tree for canoe at the junction of Murray and Darling Rivers.
We were able to walk right out to the point.

The road to Wentorth from Mildura - in NSW very flat -salt bush and we were warned not to go off the bitumen!
