1) Read the rules ^_^. 2) A fic can be nominated by anyone. 3) Submitted fics must be completed. 4) Fic must be a songfic. That's the point of this contest. 5) The songfic cannot contain nothing but lyrical content with only a sentence and a paragraph inserted in between. I mean, where's the substance of a story with that? A songfic isn't a fic about the song, its how the song corresponds to the story. 6) Each fic can compete in a maximum of two categories. |
7) Only four fics per author will be accepted.
8) All fics must have the appropriate labels and warnings.

9) Categories must have at least three submissions each or else that category will be dropped. In the event that a category is dropped I will e-mail the author and ask them to choose another category that is active and hopefully that will resolve the issue.
10) It would make my life easier if all fics were archived so I could just provide a link, but if not just e-mail me.
11) Once I receive a nomination email, I will send the nominator and author (if they happen to be different people) a confirmation email. If you don't receive the confirmation email within two days, you can email me to make sure I received it. If the author's email bounces, then I will delete the nomination email.
12) Contest will be held annually.
13) If your fic didn't win the previous year, you may resubmit it the next year. Winning fics can never be submitted again. They will, however, be archived on this website till kingdom come for all to see.
14) Judges can participate in the contest, BUT they cannot submit a fic they've written in a category they're judging.
15) Nominated fics will be posted along with the name of the author.
16) After the contest is closed for submissions, the winners will be announced four weeks later, prizes to follow soon after.
17) The decisions of the judges are FINAL.
1) Judges must have spare time in order to evaluate fics properly.
2) Judges must have an open mind and not be easily influenced by characters or couples within the story.
3) All judges must keep in touch with me while the contest is going on (meaning through March 1, 2005 - May 30, 2005). This is in order to keep up to date with submissions and evaluations.
4) Judges cannot submit a fic in the same category(s) they are judging.
5) Keep in mind that this contest is open to yaoi/yuri/het couples. If you are against any of these, yet you DO NOT FLAME PEOPLE, and you are still interested in judging, contact me and we will arrange something.
6) There must be two judges to judge all fics (more are better).
7) The winner will be decided by adding up the scores of all the judges and dividing them by the number of judges (being the average).
8) The scoring for this contest will be done on a point system. Each factor will be worth ten points, fifty points being the highest a fic can achieve.
Spelling and Grammar--- 10 points
Flow--- 10 points
Characterization--- 10 points
Overall Storyline--- 10 points
Interest--- 10 points
9) All scores by the judges will be kept anonymous. Only the webmistress (me) will have access to them.
