Along with Ranma’s family tree, the Tendo family tree has many facts to it as well. They list as
the following:

(1) Zenigata was the policeman who was constantly chasing Lupin in Lupin III. He took the last 
name of his deceased wife, Tendo, to rid him of his last name Kouichi, which was a constant 
reminder of his failure to catch Lupin. 

(2) Zenigata’s wife is deceased, and as of yet, unnamed. 

(3) Kimiko isn’t her real name, Mrs. Tendo having been never named in Ranma ½. I use the
name because it’s the most commonly used name for her.

(4) Keima and Tanako are Keiichi and Megumi’s parents real names.

(5) Haruka Ten'ou's, from Sailor Moon, parents are a mystery. In this, she changed 
her last name from Tendo to Ten'ou after they left her life. It's unrevealed whether 
or not they're dead or she just moved away from them. 

(6) The Grandpa in InuYasha doesn’t have a name, so I named him Taiyo. 

(7) His (Taiyo) wife has never been mentioned or shown in InuYasha, thus she’s unnamed and
deceased.

(8) The father of Kagome and Souta in InuYasha is never shown or mentioned either, so for this
instance I am having the two be divorced, instead of the father being dead. Because of the
divorce, Miyuki has returned to her maiden name of Higurashi.

(9) Miyuki isn’t the real name of Kagome's mom. Her name is never mentioned, she’s always called
‘Mom’. Miyuki is the name I gave for her.

(10) Her parents are never shown in the manga, but it's mentioned in the anime that her parents 
are divorced and her mother is remarried, hence the last name Narusegawa instead of Higurashi. 

(11) She doesn't have her sister Mei because Mei is an anime only character.
