Lesson #2
Objectives:
- Student will be able to read the book using his descriptive voice
- Student will be able to outline the book using key points from the book and putting the events in order

Text:
I picked the book More Spaghetti, I Say by Rita Golden Gelman because it was just a fun book about playing with Spaghetti.   I thought that my student would have fun reading this and would also be an easy book to help him with his comprehension. 

Materials:
- Gelman, Rita Golden. (1993). More Spaghetti, I Say. Scholastic Inc: New York.
- Pieces of paper with the story line

Learning Activity:
- My student and I will read More Spaghetti, I Say together. Have him show expression when reading
- After reading the book, my student and I will go over some key points in the book, have him come up the ideas
- Then have him read the note cards with the description of an event and have him put them in order

Closure:
- Once he feels that he has placed each event in the correct order have the student and you go back into the book to see if the events matched the books order.
- Talk to student about knowing what happens in a book really helps you know what you are reading.
