I have had a lot of experience working with children and students. I first started with babysitting for neighbor�s and friends. Then in high school I took several courses, one being a college level class based on childhood education. I also volunteered at the elementary school in my district, helping students with homework, reading and writing and also helping the teacher. I also volunteer every year at a district event called Fun Night where students come and play games and the teachers are the ones coordinating the games. Through that, I have become very close to some of the teachers and that is when I got involved in substituting at Northwood Elementary. I have also observed many teachers and gotten many ideas from them. While at college I started working at the Brockport Child Care Center. I worked with children ranging from infants to school age. I also have gained a lot of experience through my field experiences. I have done two semesters working with students.
I absolutely love teaching and working with students. I feel that I am very creative and understanding and those skills are very important to have when becoming an elementary teacher. My goal as a teacher is to be one of those teachers that the students keep on coming back to see. I want to leave a mark on my students as I hope they will leave one with me as well.
I really hope to achieve new ideas and activities while I am student teaching. I want to gain more knowledge about classroom management and just be able to experience working with the students alone.
I hope that this website really shows my dedication to the career path of teacher and shows my abilities. I had a blast design this website and really hope to do more of this kind of work with my students. I would love to have a webpage for my classroom for students and parents.
