Thunderstorm Hits Chester, Sept 2003
The storm Clouds Build to the North West of me, some sharp showers were forecast, and i noticed the the Cape Values were -1, Which is not particularly fantastic for storm development, But coupled with other factors such as a warm Irish Sea, Convection was likely. And i was hopeful in the morning that i would see a sharp T-storm. Lucky for me I got one!
As The storm Passed To the west of Us it offered a nice view of the base! Fantastic Shot! Also 3 Flashes of Lightning. And some lovely rumbles. Well worth it. Managed to get such clear shots due to the fact I had no rain falling on me, So not wetting the Camera lens as i perched out of a 'loft window'
The storm Weakens as it moves South, no more lightning, but a lovely view of the heavy precipitation. After talking to a friend who works in next in the city centre, the Precip had been directly over them, causing flooding in their store rooms. she had to mop up, poor girl!
