River to Sea Relay 2007-Additional
Information
-There will be two teams of approximately equal strength captained by David Siuta and Christian Baumbach
-We are trying to start at around the same time.
-Each team needs 2 support vehicles.
Support Vehicles
Team 1:
Drivers-David Siuta, Mr. Hunter and Mike Matlack. Cars being used: David Siuta and Mr. Hunter.
Team 2:
Drivers-Christian Baumbach, Matt Hilderbrandt/Mr. Baumbach
Cars being used: Christian Baumbach and Matt Hilderbrandt/Mr. Baumbach
Job of the Vehicles is two-fold:
1. One car will drive to the next relay exchange area with the next runner and the bulk of the team.
2. The second car is the roving support vehicle. Its job is to make sure the runner follows the right roads (the course is NOT marked. All turns must be shown by driver of support car. This car is also to give water to the runner at LEAST EVERY 1.5 MILES. It will be hot and the run is long.
What you need to bring:
On race day you need to bring the following:
1. Multiple Shirts and socks.
2. A towel to dry off with, there will be swimming allowed at the ocean at the end.
3. Bring snacks and money. There is no set lunch time and food will have to be bought along the way if you don't bring any.
Each person on a team is REQUIRED to bring:
-A case of water or a case of Gatorade. Drinks get used up quick, but anything left over you can take home. Please buy the small pint sized bottles for water.
-6$ each to buy gas for the support vehicles.
Meeting Place before Race:
We will meet at David Siuta's
house, where parents can drop off the runner's. If you have a car that is not being
used, you can leave it here for the day.

What you can expect for the day:
-Leave Dave's house around 6:30. Actual time will be set once we get our seed time.
-The event will last the entire day. Expect to be in Manasquan at the finish around 6-7 at night.
-Arive home between 9 and 10 P.M.
-Pizza at the finish line, paid for in the entry fee.
