The seeds were sown when Errol Nelson and Patrick Minnick became acquainted in June 2004. The two quickly discovered a musical chemistry and a bond of friendship that would last a long time. During weekly practices over the next several months, they arranged a decent amount of soul tunes and instrumentals. The band was solidified in January 2005 when Pat and Errol met up with smooth-crooning, Rickey Johnson. All three guys threw in what tunes they knew, put everything together, and quickly built up their catalog of cover songs (which contines to grow with each band rehearsal). FUNKIPHUS was born! The band welcomes aboard "Loaner" on drums.
