Their final label switch was to Atlantic in 1975; each album they released here contained at least two disco favourites. "That's where the happy people go" and "Disco Party" came from their first Atlantic album. Huge international smash "Disco Inferno" (used in the film Saturday Night Fever) and "Body contract contact" came from their next album - listen for those groovy disco basslines. Next album included the brilliant "People of the world (rise)" and "The night the lights went out"... not to be missed.
"Hooked for life" and "That's where the happy people go" were both released as very early promo-only 12" singles in 1975 on US Atlantic and are now considered rare by collectors. Both were mixed by Tom Moulton.
There is a rare UK 12" (in the Atlantic SAM series) of "Soul searching time". Also look out for a UK 4-track EP on Buddah from 1976 containing "Zing went the strings", "Rubber Band", "Hold back the night" and "Sixty minute man" (catalogue number BD 110, shown above).
