No Matt's Date

Part VI

Our Story

Having lost five hours to the demogoguery of the dreaded He Who Is and his theories about the importance of the ass, NoMattsLand was forced to head directly to his tuxedo fitting and hope that somehow he would survive his date with the Silver Banshee unprepared!

We now rejoin our hero who is a little befuddled to find himself dropped off by the company limo at the door of Lucy's In Disguise in fashionable uptown Gotham City. Assured by his driver that this is the correct address however, he goes within and is greeted by unexpectedly familiar face.

"Hello Matts, was starting to wonder if you'd bailed on us."

"Leighgion? What are you doing here? And.. why are you wearing a white linen suit in October?"

"Same thing you are. I'm going to the Halloween Ball to help clear Mr. Wayne."

"You don't mean..."

"Sorry, no. Siobahn hasn't asked for two dates, just you. She did though, ask for an escort for her descendent, which is where I come in."

"Descendent?"

"Name's Lacey. She seems nice. And no, she's not dead so your doom and misery knows no company."

"Blah. So why do you get to wear linen while I have to wear a tux?"

"It's a Halloween Ball, Matts. We're going in costume."

"A tux and linen suit are costumes?"

"Uh oh. Fox didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"Hoboy, I'm sorry. Well... Lacey's going as Kaiou Michiru."

"Michiru.. Sailor Neptune..? Ha! I get it! You're Haruka!"

"Yeah, yeah, yuck it up, make fun of the guy going as a lesbian in drag."

"Are you going to be toting the magic pen too?"

"No."

"The space blaster sword?"

"No. And no, before you ask, I am not wearing a fuka undearneath this suit either. Don't pity me. Your date is going as Tsukino Usagi."

"Siobahn's going to be Sailor Moon? That'll actually make her a lot less scary.. uh oh."

"Yes, that's right, laughing boy. You're Tuxedo Mask."

First the threat of death from an already dead date, and to top it off, NoMattsLand must face the possibility of dying dressed as Tuxedo Mask! Is our hero insane yet? 1
