| G&G Chapter 6 |
| Marie walked the mall by herself, window shopping, since she was low on cash. A beige sweater caught her eye and she turned to walk into Macy's. She walked past the guy's section and saw the back of a familair head. 'Oh my gosh' she thought to herself as she realized it was Blake. She tried to duck behind a manaquinn before he could notice her. She couldn't take this right now. She had her back against it, when he grabbed her shoulder and turned her around. Her eyes went wide, she didn't know what to say, or how to act, or even if she could talk to him without losing control. "Hey, Marie, what are you doing?" He asked confused motioning towards her hand. She looked down with his gaze and noticed her hand was on the manaquinn's butt. She quickly removed it. "Uh...I was....just, just shopping around," Marie replied trying not to stutter too much. She looked down at her feet and swallowed hard. "Oh, yeah, me too," He said smiling at her. She tried to force a small grin, but it just wasn't happening. "It's good to see you . I have been trying to call you, and I stopped by. Your mom told me that you guys finally moved into the house, closer to the recording studio. I was gonna stop by, and see how you were doing." She nodded her head. He knew that she was still upset, and didn't know what to say. He felt horrible. He looked in her eyes and saw what he saw, the first time he laid eyes on her. She was beautiful, there was no going around that. And she was a great person, and a wonderful girlfriend, and he liked her so much. That is why he couldn't take being away from her so much. "Uh...sure, that would be cool if you wanted to stop by. I mean, I am sure Amit and Dhani would want to see you." she replied quietly, almost in a whisper. He nodded and he felt his heart drop. "Marie, I would really like to talk to you. Maybe if I stop by, we can grab a bite to eat, and....well, talk," Blake said, shifting his weight. She looked up at him, and he could see the hurt in her eyes, he even saw them begin to water. "Blake..." She said shaking her head, and sniffling back her tears. "I will have to think about that." She turned and walked away, heading out of Macy's forgetting all about her sweater, that she desperately wanted. ** ** ** "Dhani, I have been trying to get ahold of Sara, forever. I have no idea where she is! I am sorry I called you again, but Amit just doesn't understand." Marie cried. He put his arm around her and put her head on his shoulder. "Marie, you know I want to help you, you can always call me," Dhani reassured her. She looked at him through watery eyes, and begin to cry harder. "Dhani, how come I can't find someone like you, and find someone who will treat me, like you treat Sara?" "You will find him, believe me," was all he could think of to say. Dhani leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. ** ** ** I walked up the steps to the front door of our new home. I grabbed the mail on the way, and was searching through it to see if we received anything interesting. Nothing for me. I got my key out and opened the front door. I looked up to see Marie in Dhani's arms, where his lips were planted on her head. They both looked startled when I slammed the door behind me. I tossed the mail onto the entry-way table and ran up the stairs and slammed my door. I didn't want to hear his stupid explanation for that again. I couldn't believe they would go behind my back like that, again. Then suddenly my anger was taken over by my tears. I couldn't help it. My feelings for Dhani were really strong. Not only was he my boyfriend, but he was my best friend. I told him everything, I trusted him. And I thought he felt the same about me. I heard a knocking on my locked door through the blankets I had over my head. I reached out from under the covers and flipped on the stereo. I didn't want to hear it, not now, I couldn't. I laid there in my bed forever until finally I cried myself to sleep, again. *** *** *** The next morning, I was woken up by the sunlight streaming through my windows. I sat up and swung my legs over the side of the bed. I felt like a zombie who had been sleeping forever. I stood up and walked into the bathroom to wash my face. As I dried myself with a towel I noticed how red my eyes were. I reached for my concealer then threw it back down onto the counter, "Screw it!" I said to myself. I was starving. I opened my bedroom door leading into the hall, and Dhani was sitting on the ground leaning up against my door. His head was buried in his hands and when I opened the door he looked up at me. His eyes were just as red as mine were. I couldn't help but want to sit next to him and hold him. But, I forced myself to walk past him. He got up and followed me into the kitchen. He sat on the counter and watched me as I made myself breakfast. "Must you watch me?" I asked him angrily. "I wanna talk. I know what you saw looked bad but..." Dhani replied. "Yeah it 'looked' bad! You had your arm around her. You two were all alone. And lastly, but definetly NOT least: you were kissing her the same way you always kiss me!" "What? I was just trying to help her. You were gone, and she was feeling bad because she ran into Blake at the mall." Dhani defended. "Whatever," I said as I decided to grab a cereal bar and head out the door. I got into my car and drove to the studio. |
