G & G Chapter 3
After the third ring I leaned over Dhani to the bed-side table and picked up the phone.
     "Hello?"  I said grogily.
"Oh my gosh Sara. *sniffle*  Blake dumped me!"  Marie cried.
"Why?  What did he say?  Are you alright?"  I asked her.  Dhani leaned up.
"Who is it?" He asked.  Marie, I mouthed back.
"Are you okay Marie?  Do you want to come over?"  I asked sympathetically.
"No, I'm not fine!  But I have to get home.  I will talk to you tomorrow."  She cried.
"Ok, get a good nights sleep.  I hope you feel better tomorrow.  Bye."  I said.  The phone clicked.
"What was all that about?"  Dhani asked.
"Blake dumped Marie!"  I answered him.  He looked at me and wrapped his arms around me, "I hope that never happens to us."

I walked into Marie's dark room.  Her cutains were blocking the little sunlight, that was shining through the black clouds.  Her lights were out and her radio was on, playing Have You Ever, by Brandy.  I turned off the radio and threw back her big down comforter, only to reveal a crying Marie, in sweats and an old T-shirt.  I sighed.
"Marie, hunnie, you have to get out of bed.  Its been days, and we haven't seen you, you have missed rehersal, and we miss you."  She looked up at me, through her tear filled eyes.  Her chin began to wobble, and she started to cry again.  I sat down next to her and took her in my arms.   I felt so bad for her.
"Marie, you wanna come to Amit's house with us?  We are gonna watch Grease, it's your favorite." I asked her, looking into her eyes.   She shook her head and sniffled.
"No," was all she could get out, between sobs.  She flung herself back down on the bed, and covered herself with the covers.  I took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling.
"Marie, you can't keep yourself locked up from everyone.  We are gonna have to start touring pretty soon, with the contract and all.  And we have to practice, get some new routines, it will be so much fun."  I looked to down to see, if I was talking to a face now, not just a bed cover.  Nope, no face.  "Marie, we can't do this without you.  Why don't you prove Blake wrong, show him what he is missing."  Finally the covers flew off.
"This is the reason why we aren't together anymore Sara!"  she screamed.  I was confused.
     "What are you talking about?"
"He broke up with me, because he said I would never get to see him, because of us touring.  He said he couldn't take, being away from me that long.  I lost him, because of our stupid dream!" she yelled.
"Marie, what the hell do you mean?  This is what you always wanted, and you are willing to loose that, because of a boy who obviously doesn't have his priorities straight!  That is crazy!  And,  you are the last person I expected that from.  You were always the one who pushed us, and now you are second guessing us." I yelled back.
"Damn it Sara, I was happy!  For the first time, he made me happy!  Our group was going nowhere and I was happy, just being with him!  And now, something good has happened to us, and I don't have him there to share it with me!  You know, you don't understand because you have Dhani, and he is always there.  You two will probably always be together, you are practically already married.  You will never understand." The tears came again.  I felt horrible, I didn't know how she felt.  And I was making the matter worse.
"Marie, I am," I was cut off.
"I don't need this right now Sara.  The last thing I need is shit from you." she glared at me, through watery eyes.  "Please." she choked out.  I nodded and swallowed the huge lump in my throat.  I got up and walked towards her door.  She watched me walk away.  When I reached the door, I looked back, hoping it would be better.  She sat there staring, a tear ran down her cheek.  I left.

I walked into Amit's room and found him and Dhani playing Playstation.  They were having way too much fun.  Dhani looked up, and stopped when he saw my face.
"Sara, whats up?" Amit asked first.
"I made things worse." was all I could say.
"You couldn't have made it that bad." Dhani replied.
"I did though."  I fell onto the couch.  Dhani and Amit looked at each other, and they both sat down next to me.  Dhani put his arm around me.
"It will be ok.  I will go talk to her alright." Dhani reassured.  I nodded my head.
"You better be careful," I figured I better warn him.
