The Logging Repair Area

This area  to the left and behind the Lomax engine house is where the logging equipment is maintained and repaired.   The two structures on the left were scratchbuilt from an article in the Narrow Gauge & Shortline Gazette, and are named "Gillilands' Garage" after friend Gerry Gilliland, a fellow modular modeler.

There are several crawler tractors in for repairs, and one in the front is having an engine changed.  The brown and cream tractor in the front was kitbashed from a Woodland Scenics kit to resemble a backwoods tractor in Maine.  My article on making this tractor was in the May/June 1993 Gazette.
Weldons Welding is a Railroad Avenue resin kit.  Slogan on building - "If you want your welding well done, try Weldon" was found on an actual building a long time ago.  Truck is an Alloy Forms model.
