| The single stall Lomax Lumber engine house was scratchbuilt from scale lumber, and mostly covered with tarpaper made from typing paper painted Floquil Grimy Black. |
| Just outside the engine house the mechanic is busy working on overhauling Lomax Lumber 44 ton diesel #5. The two motors out of this Bachmann engine were removed for another project, and a small Evergreen Hills diesel power plant was installed in one end. With suitable wiring and plumbing, it looks like it was made specially for this model. |
