On the 22^ndof December 2004,as a result of our work together with the Project Foundation Children of Arauquita and our Foundation Manos, we celebrated the Christmas festivities with 220 children of the suburb (invasion) Arauquita an area highly marked by the low living standards situated on the north western hills of BogotᮠThe children had the opportunity to receive a beautiful sport suit and a delicious meal.

The faces of these children reflect their happiness and we expect that this be its best reward. Thanks for contributing with this noble cause.

The Manos Foundation initial plan (Bandera) for this year, will work together with the "Fundacion Nutrir" in the Centre of Nutrition Genesis, located in the north western hill of Bogotᦣ060;/p>

The Centre of Nutrition Genesis count with a population of 248 children from 1 to 8years of age, with malnutrition and at social risk. With the aid of both entities the program to be developed with this population is:

• Help with school work
• Early Stimulation
• Recreational, sporting activities
• Arts and dancing workshops.

At the moment theFundacion Manos together with the Fundacion Nutrir are working on some of this aims for the nutricional recuperation of these childrens.

Nutricional Recuperation

Daily they are given an alimentary complement as a snack around 10.00am and a balanced lunch at 1.00 pm

Strategies

Workshops are carried out with the parents, attaining their participation to guarantee the optimal nutritional state of the children being helped.
