Matt Jevon's Modified Yamaha FJ 1200 page
Mods are:
1. Front forks revalved and damped and stiffer springs fitted by Maxon engineering
2. YZF 1000 Thunderace brake calipers fitted, (same as R1) carbonne lorraine pads and braided hoses, via honda fireblade master cylinder
3. Lower fork leg bracing yoke
4. Gasflowed head
5. 4-1 remus viper exhaust with race can
6. K&N filters (individual) plus crank case breather filters
7. Stage 3 dynojet kit
8. FZR 1000 exup RU rear end (swingarm, caliper arm, caliper, rear wheel)
9. Maxton (Ohlins) rear shock
10. removed rear side plate rear section, remounted rear foot rests on rear subframe
11. Lengthened and raised rear sub frame by 1.5" for clearance
12. removed front section of rear mudguard, built small electric's tray and fitted rear hugger
13. remounted rear master cylinder on rear sub frame by swingarm pivot (cosmetic having removed side panels)
14. Polished all wheels, fork legs, swingarm, sideplates, etc
So what has all this achieved, well I think it looks real trick, it wheelies off the throttle in first 2 gears and will stoppied with two finger braking. The swingarm is 2 inches shorter so bike turns in quicker and broader section rear tyre offer more stability and better drive out of corners utilising the FJ's legendary torque. Dynoed at 139 BHP at rear wheel, witha curve as smooth as a babys bum except for a little rich between 2500 and 4500.
26 Now 2001: I had to optimize them because they were too big. They are now 1/3 of the size they were before. I hope you can enjoy the picture anyway,
