Problem: The faucett that came on our Mountaineer was functional, but had a couple of problems. One was that it was so tall that it tended to splatter all over the counter. Secondly, it did not have a hand sprayer.
Solution: Price Pfister with a removable spout/handsprayer. The cost was relatively low and the unit was a direct replacement for the existing faucett.
Installation: Removal of the old faucett was easy. I made sure the water was turned off. Removed the existing faucett by disconnecting the water supply lines and unscrewing the plastic retainer nuts. These were only hand tightened.
Installation of the new faucett was just as easy. I followed the manufacturers instructions. After placing the copper supply lines through the center sink opening, I very carefully bent the copper tubing to match the line up of the existing supply lines. The supply lines were hand tightened and the sprayer connection was tightened with channel lock pliers. I then turned on the water to check for leaks and tightened as required.
Dish washing is now much more enjoyable and the project only took fifteen minutes |
