Many critics enjoy pointing out that Puppet Master 5 is not, as it was titled, "The Final Chapter" in the Puppet Master series. Even though it was followed by two other films it might still be correctly titled. Consider first of all that it was the last numbered film in the series, the films that follow were titled "Curse of the " and "Retro". Secondly, Puppet Master V, was the last Puppet Master film to be released by Paramount Home Video. Thirdly, "Retro" is a prequel to the series. This is the first chapter in the Puppet Master saga if not the film series. "Curse" may also be a chapter out of seqence. When Dr. Magrew came into possesion of the Puppets is in question. He claims to have found them. At the films end it is likely the the Puppets would return to their last home in Bodega Bay. Where they would be found by a new master. I have the opinion that "Curse" most likely takes place between the events in Puppet Master II and IV. I hope we will see many more films in the Puppet Master series before the true "Final Chapter". - Full Moon Fiend |
