Dollman

The Comic Book

Issue Three

Like The Veritable Ton of Bricks

"Thriteen inches tall with an attitude."

Actually, Brick Bardo doesn't really have an attitude or an attitude problem.  People just seem to have a problem with
his attitude.

Crime, disease, savings and loan, the lack of sufficent leadership... If ever we needed heros, we need them now... even if they're only thirteen inches tall and even if it's Brick Bardo.

The brickster is an all right guy to have on your side (actually,
you're better off on his side than he is on yours).  Together with his favorite weapon , the  596.8 Ruger, "the most powerful handgun in the universe," Bardo is trouble for anyone who crosses him or his path.

In our story thus far, Sprug has escaped the planet Arturos and made his way through the vortex to Earth.  Sprug, in addition to his vile nature, has issued a challenge that Bardo must answer if he's to hold his head up high - Sprug is directly responsible for the death of Bardo's wife Vicky back on Arturos.

With the help of a friend on the force, Bardo followed Sprug to Earth.  Bardo's been here before (see the Dollman movie) and his presence established him as something of a cult figure.

Meanwhile, Sprug - using the very latest Arturosain technology - has established himself as one of the city's top drug dealers with a lethal mixture known only as Blaze.  Only Bardo can "say no."

But can he do
all of that and protect Toni (his only female "friend" on Earth)?  Sure he can.

Part III of our little adventure is about to begin again.  All you have to do is sit back and watch it unfold... and dodge the bullets and try not to spill on your nice clean shirt.

Dollman

The Comic Book

Between 1991 and 1992 Eternity Comics produced a four issue full color limited series comic based on the Full Moon film Dollman.

Just Another Brick In The Wall

Tiny heros are nothing new.  Decades ago, Richard Math eson created
The Incredible Shrinking Man, about a young happily married man affected by mysterious chemicals that caused him to shrink, smaller and ever smaller.

Before that, Quality Comics in the '40s had a super-hero crime-fighter named Dollman, dedicated to truth, justice and the American Way.  (In those days, with WWII in high gear, it meant he battled a lot of Nazi spies and Japanese saboteurs).

Now, the whole concept of the tiny hero has been turned on it diminutive ear.  Charles Band, the big cheese behind Full Moon Entertainment, Inc. has taken the ideaof a pint-sized hero and brought him into the '90s: crossing with
The Terminator (and other current adventure heros); giving him an attitude cynical enough for the audience of today: throwing in enough social conscience and criticism to give the ieda depth and meaning; and elevating the action to a level that will keep the kids on the edge of their seats.

In the movie, Bardo (played by Full Moon veteran and journeyman actor Tim Thomerson) has journeyed to Earth in search of the evil Sprug only to find himself in the middle of a street war - battling it out with a bunch of crack-heads, street psychos and gangbangers.

Bardo's only drawback is that he's 13 inches tall.  Fortunately, he's got two things on his side - the love of a beautiful woman and the 596.8 Ruger "the most powerful handgun in the universe."

Now, Brick Bardo, the star of Dollman movie, is back and meaner than ever.  And still on the trail of Sprug.  Let's join the fun!
