| William Shatner to Host Full Moon Night Star Trek star William Shatner will host late-night movies on the SCI-FI Channel starting August 3rd (Note: August 3rd is also the Full Moon Fiend's birthday). William Shatner's Full Moon Fright Night will have the erstwhile Captain Kirk hosting 13 Full Moon horror films every Saturday night, starting at 11p.m. ET/PT August 3rd. In addition to introducing the movies, Shatner will chat each week with special guests who are in some bizarre way related to the horror genre. Shatner will also personally re-enact some of the gruesome moments from that night's movie. "It's always a pleasure to work with the man who has in many ways defined science fiction for generations," says Thomas Vitale, Sci-Fi's senior vice president of program acquisitions and scheduling. "We're pleased to give William Shatner a weekly opportunity to do one of the things he does best - ham it up to the delight of audiences everwhere." The films will come from the archives of Charles Band's Full Moon Pictures and Big City Pictures. Fans will recognize Full Moon's Trancers, Subspecies, and Puppet Master series. Shatner will host such films as Killjoy, Ragdoll, Shrunken Heads, Horrorvision, Oblivion and Stuart gordon's Castle Freak for SCI-FI.
