Origin : Bombarded by cosmic rays on a space mission, Benjamin J. Grimm, along with the rest of the Fantastic Four, found his molecular structure destabilised. He became a huge 'thing' made of an orange rock-like substance. While being a member of the Fantastic Four from the outset, Thing has left the team on several occaisions to adventure alone. However, he has always returned to his home and extended family.
Real name : Benjamin J Grimm
Occupation : Former Pilot, Member of the Fantastic Four.
Powers : Enormous strength, almost but not quite to the level of the Hulk. Immunity to extreme heat and cold. Invulnerable skin and general superhuman endurance and stamina. |

Rookie : Thing was never the best trained hand-to-hand fighter, usually just swinging massive punches at his opponent, and this is depicted in his fairly low attack value of eight. Although with his damage of 3 then opponents WILL notice when you succeed. One click of Invulnerable and then 5 of Toughness helps to absorb damage. Also, Superstrength down his entire dial means that, for 75 points, he's a good heavy hitter, although he'll need some backup.
Experienced : Increased attack, more Invulnerability, more Superstrength. AND a good helping of Charge thrown in for good measure. 110 ponts IS pricey, but 90 points should easily be enough for some assistance for ol' blue eyes.
Veteran : BOOF!!! An attack of 10, 4 damage and 4 clicks of Invulnerable. As if that wasn't enough, Superstrength down the whole dial and a decent helping of Charge. I'll say it again... BOOF!!! |
