| Athena is the goddess of wisdom and war, she is the highest goddess under Hera. According to storys told in folk lores, Metis, the Titaness of wisdom, was due to have Zeus' baby. Zeus heard that any baby Metis had would be greater than its father, so he turned Metis into a fly and swallowed her. Later, Zeus developed a bad headache. He asked Hephaestos to split his head open, from Zeus' head appeared Athena, in full armor. |
