Chocolate Luck

Bio for Carlos Lucky DeLeon (ver 2.5)

By: Ashley Delfín

Lucky (he doesn't like to be called Carlos) was my first character at Laska's Hogwarts RPG. This is his bio:

Age: 12

Year: 2nd

House: Ravenclaw

Wand: 11 inches, Cherry wood, Unicorn Hair

Pet: Sombra, a male black cat given to him by his father. Sombra is the yang to Lucky's yin, being very serious; and he acts more as Lucky's guardian than pet.

Blood: Halfblood.

Family: Four older brothers (Carlos Javier, 25; Carlos Jesus, 22; Carlos Jose, 19; and Carlos Julian, 16) and a dad, all muggles and wealthy. His mother, Fortuna DeLeon, was an English pureblood who died shortly after Lucky's birth.

Home: Born and raised in Swansea, Wales. Spent most of his vacation with his extended family in Northern Mexico.

Size & shape: Shorter than average and with an average build, leaning on the thin side.

Eyes & hair: Obsidian black hair, long enough to tie it in the back. His eyes are olive green with a hint of yellow.

Distinguishing marks: His obvious Mexican background, noticeable in his darker complexion. At time he says sporadic comments in Spanish, although his English has an infallible British accent thanks to his tutors.

Personality: Happy-go-lucky and carefree to an almost unhealthy extent, but that's because his four older brothers are a tad overprotective. He's intelligent and friendly, but naive and, at times, trusts others too much.

Other: Lucky has the amazing ability of getting lost almost anywhere; and if that isn't enough, he falls a lot as well. He excels at Charms and Transfiguration but is something of a menace in Potions.

Extended Bio:

Trivia: Lucky was first created for a Harry Potter shonen-ai fanfic I had in mind. It was actually a crossover between Harry Potter, A Little Princess, and Bridget Jones' Diary. In this story, Lucky was the son of Bridget and Mark Darcy, had a younger brother, and was a direct descendant of Cinderella's Fairy Godmother (who supposedly was Bridget's great-great-grandmother). He was a fifth year Ravenclaw, and his best friends were supposed to be Ron Weasley (fifth year Gryffindor, who was crushing on Hermione), Sara Crewe (a fourth year Hufflepuff), and Draco Malfoy (who was not a prejudiced bastard). In this story, Harry Potter was a self-absorbed snob, fighting Ron for Hermione's affection, and going to great lengths to make the lives of the Hogwarts' weirdoes (mainly our quartet of heroes) miserable. Lucky, Ron, Sara, and Draco got even, and in between tried to get a boyfriend (or girlfriend, in Ron's case).

For the HRPG I made Lucky younger, switched his nationality (and thus, all of his physical appearance), totally messed with his family life, and made him much more innocent and naïve. While in the end both Lucky's are very different, their core essence is the same. It's like seeing how the same person develops under totally different circumstances.
