Satan's Sadists (1969)
Directed by Al Adamson. Starring Russ Tamblyn, Scott Brady, John 'Bud' Cardos, and Regina Carrol.
Satan's Sadists is a biker flick that's head and shoulders above the rest. It's an evil doppelganger of Easy Rider. Instead of two trippin' pacifist bikers and a drunken Jack Nicholson, we have Anchor (played with great gusto by Russ Tamblyn) and his sadistic bunch of merry men terrorising a stretch of freeway somewhere in the Mojave desert.
They tear a lonely roadside diner apart, killing a vacationing city cop and his wife. Before he tops them, Anchor gives a long-winded speech about how he may be a crazy S.O.B full of hate, but some of his friends are full of love and the cops bust their heads because they grow their hair long.
The gang then pursue a clean-cut Vietnam vet, and the regulatory exploitation starlet into the desert because they witnessed the
dastardly deed. This movie encompasses everything that exploitation cinema  used to be about, and it's arguably Adamson's most entertaining feature.
It has everything a good drive-in movie needs. Larger than life villains, heavy on the make-up yet pleasing to the eye sixties starlets, plenty of action and mayhem, and some breathtaking locations. This is a great little time capsule, and a good reminder of why we should hate Hollywood for killing truly independent film on our movie screens.
