Skin Membrane
Skin is separated into two body membranes: epithelial and connective tissue

Epithelial Membranes

1. Cutaneous Membrane: called skin
2. Serous Membranes: consist of simple squamous membrane and thin layers of connective tissue. They form the inner linings of thorax and abdomen, and cover the organs within these cavities.
3. Mucous Membrane: consists of epithelium overlying a layer of loose connective tissue. Located in oral and nasal cavities.

Connective Tissue Membranes

1. Synovial Membrane: secrete thick and colorless synovial fluid into the joint cavity. Consist of loose connective tissues with elastic fibers and some adipose tissues.
