Skeletal Organization
There are approxiamately 206 bones throughout human body.
Skeletons are divided into two major parts: Axial Skeleton and Appendicular Skeleton
Axial Skeletons are consisted of:
1. Skull:
composed of cranium and facial bones
2. Hyoid Bones:
Located in the neck between the lower jaw and larynx.
3. vertebral Column:
also called the backbone.
4. Thorax:
composed of twelve pairs of ribs, and the sternum
Appendicular Skeletons are consisted of:
1. Pectoral girdle:
formed by scapula and clavicle on the both sides of the body.
2: Upper Limb:
consists of humerus (armbone), and radius and ulna on the forearm on both sides. There are eigh carpals, five matacarpals, and fourteen phalanges on each wrist.
3. Pelvic girdle:
consists of coxal bones or hipbones.
4. Lower Limbs:
consists of the thighbones called femurs on the upper legs; tibia and  fibula on the lower legs. There is patella or kneecaps on each lower limbs. The foot is consisted of seven tarsals, five metatarsal, and fourteen phalanges.
