External Female Genitalia: known as valva
Mons veneris: fatty tissue over the fatty arch

Labia Majora: Major lip (protecting via covering) cover labraminora

Labia Minora: covers clitoris urethra, and vagina

Clitoris: homologous to penis; no ejaculation but does cause organsm

Urethral Meatus (Urethral opening): approximately 2 milimeters wide

Introitus (caginal opening): it is the place where infant comes out.

Hymen: thin Membrane covers vaginal opening before first copulation.

Internal Female Genitalia:
Vagina: a distensable muscular tube proximal to uterus; consists of these following functions
       - Receive Penis during copulation
       - Birth canal during delivery
       - Contains good bacteria (acids) to prevent and eliminate harmful bacteria and yeasts

Uterus: approximately 7 centimeters long, and 4-5 centimeters wide
       - Begins at upper end of vagina
       - Allow for embryo and fetus develop
       - Uterus walls very specialized

Endometrium: important part of uterus; it is where placenta and umbryo cord are attached to. It is epithelial lining of uterus that shead if implantation o0f fertilized egg does not occur.

fallopian Tubes (oviducts): transport egg, allow for sperm to travel. It is the location where fertilization takes place.

Ovaries: location of oogenesis (development of ova), and meiosis

Mammary Glands: secret milk; consist of alveali which are the sacs with epithelial tissue acting as exocrine glands.

Cervix: curved boundary between vagina uterus. If you do not have uterus, you cannot have baby because cervix cause water break before the baby comes out.
