Blood vessels: include artery, vein, and capillary |

Artery: the vessel that transports blood and nutrients from heart to the other parts of body. It has thick layers, and strong pressure and muscle contraction; it consisted of elastic, smooth and epithelial tissues. Most of artery vessels, except pulmonary artery, carry oxygenated blood. |

Vein: the vessel that transports blood into the heart from other part of body. Its layers are thinner than the layers of artery vessel. It has valve inside to prevent blood from flowing backward. It has lower pressure and muscle contraction than the artery because it only transports blood to the heart, and most of veins, except pulmonary vein, carry deoxygenated blood. |

Capillary: is the tiny vessel connecting with artery and vein. It carries both oxygenated and deoxygenated bloods. It has the very low pressure. |

Blood is consisted of 55 percent plasma, erythrocytes and leukocytes, and platelets. |

Plasma: consisted of ninty percent water; it consists of three kinds of protein: Albumins (binds toxin), globalins (transport antibody), and fibrinogen (blood clotting). |

Red blood cells (Erythrocytes)
- approximately 25 trillion cells in five liters of blood
- lack of nuclei when mature (make it look like a donut)
- lived for four months
- manufactured in red bone marrow
- each cell contains 250 million hemoglubins |

White blood cell (Leukocyte)
- All invlove in the immune system, and manufactured in bone marrow
- consists of five types: monocytes, neutrophiles, basophites, eosinophits, and lymphocyte |
