October 2003:
On Friday 24th October the Fudo Ken Ryu club ventured north of London, braving heavy motorway traffic, dodgy roadside food and the Manchester night-life in anticipation of their first Cobra Martial Arts Association Dan grading.
Our thanks go out to Soke Andy Morrell, the rest of the grading board and the CMAA for an unforgetable grading. With five different styles and a brilliant attitude towards Martial Arts the 4 hour grading was very hard, but thoroughly enjoyable.
We are please to announce that Sensei Mick gained his long deserved 2nd Dan, and both Chris and Steve gained their 1st Dans. Our thanks also go to the others in the club who came along on the trip for their support and for getting the beers in afterward!
