Chapter 2: Revenge is Hell 



"We're so dead when we get back." Yuki mumbled as they were walking back home.
"Do you really think we became witches?" Hotaru asked, she had been silent the whole trip back wondering as Yuki mumbled about how dead they were.
Yuki shrugged "I dunno you wanna find out?" she asked and grinned.
Hotaru smiled also,
"Sure, why not?" Yuki closed her eyes and stretched her arms to the sky, and like magic she floated off the ground. Yuki grinned
"I did it! I can fly!" she whooped as she landed.
"Let me try" Hotaru said as she licked her lips and rolled up her sleeves. She closed her eyes as she concentrated, Yuki stopped walking like she was in a trance then started to talk,
"My name is Yuki and I have problems" she said in a monotone voice. Hotaru opened her eyes and smiled as Yuki snapped out of her trance. "Hey! I don't have problems!" she yelled, and laughed at the same time, "do I?" she asked, Hotaru just laughed.
"Look!" Yuki called and pointed to the small town, "we made it!" she squealed.
"Ssh! Do you want the whole town to know that we sneaked into the forbidden forest?" Hotaru asked. Yuki dropped her smile and shook her head. "Bye" Yuki whispered as they parted their ways,
"Bye see ya tomorrow" Hotaru whispered and waved. Hotaru hummed as she walked down the paved sidewalk, looking at different houses and to see if anyone was up at this hour. Soon she could see her house, all the lights were off. 'That's a good thing' she thought as she approached it. Her hand touched the door knob and she gasped.

~*Premonition*~

Hotaru was surrounded by screams and burning houses. People were running around everywhere as they tried to escape the danger.
"Die!" Yuki screamed. Hotaru turned to see Yuki fighting with all her might sweat was dripping off of her face and fire seemed to burn in her violet eyes.
"Burn!" Hotaru heard herself say as fire shot out of her hand and burnt a group of men in black cloaks., Yuki and Hotaru were both deep in battle.
"Hotaru!!" Hotaru's green eyes widened as she saw her mother screaming as what seemed to be a warlock stab her.
"Mom" Hotaru whispered as tears formed in her eyes, but of course no one could hear her, she was just observing the future.
"This is no one use" Yuki shouted as she floated over the battle calling to Hotaru. Hotaru nodded as she ran but before she left she turned to the men and glared,
"Revenge is Hell! Remember that!" she yelled to the group of Warlocks who just laughed and vanished.

~*End of premonition*~

Hotaru stood there tears streaming down her face, "I have to warn Yuki" she whispered and she took off down the street.
Tears blurred her vision as she rounded the corner, she wiped them away and continued running till Yuki's house was in sight.
Hotaru looked up a Yuki's now dark window. She closed her eyes, Yuki please come, she thought desperately her eyes still closed tight.
"Hotaru?" a surprised Yuki asked as she opened the window, worried written all over her face.
"I had a premonition" Hotaru whispered, "A group of warlocks came here and attacked our town and they killed everyone!" she sobbed and shook as she revealed what she saw.
Yuki gasped, "But why would they do that?" she asked.
"Maybe they're trying to stop us from defeating Lord Akuma" Hotaru suggested as she wiped away her tears. "Do you think it will come true?" Hotaru asked. Just then a house a few feet away from them bursted into flames, Yuki and Hotaru gasped.
"Yeah, I think so" Yuki whispered as she floated down to the ground and got into a fight stance.
"Let's do this thing" Yuki whispered and glared looking straight ahead.
Hotaru nodded and sniffled and looked ahead as a huge fire ball came hurling towards them.

*An*Okay I'm going to explain about their world It's very high-tech, everyone relies on machines to do the work, magic is rarely taught to a few people. You find magic more out away from the big cities (mainly in small towns). Tiny towns are very common and have very few machines,(Like Yuki's and Hotaru's) and if you know magic you are considered gifted to be able to understand the art of magic. There's a rumor about a secret world, where demons, warlocks, and dark magic brew. White magic is few, and the few who have it are protected. (Too bad for Yuki and Hotaru). Dark magic is the most feared magic of all, but it has not surfaced for centuries. (And they want to keep it that way)  Their world is just like ours, but more machines and high-tech stuff, it during this century Maybe around the year 2099. (If that helps.)
