Chapter 2: travel through time


Lulu opened her eyes and blinked, Thank god she was alive! She looked around; she was surrounded by bright swirling golden walls. They looked to be liquid like, she reached out to touch the golden wall and was shocked.
"Ouch!" she hissed and cradled her hand. She looked around and noticed that she seemed to be floating and that there was not a door to be seen.
"Well it looks like I'm not going anywhere for a while" she mumbled to herself as her mind began to wonder.

~*~Flashback~*~

"Chappu's dead!' she reminded Wakka, "Sure he may look like him but he will never be him" Lulu hissed and walked away before Wakka could defend himself. She sighed as she sat down at the fireplace which was once burning with life but now was dead.
She propped her head on her hands and began to think.
'Tidus does look like Chappu, but he could never replace him, but maybe…….' She let the thought drop and stood up. She needed to get her rest if Yuna was going to start her pilgrimage tomorrow.
She got up and, walked into the night.

Lulu sighed 'had I really been that bad?' she thought as another flashback crept on

~*~ Flashback ~*~

(This is in Lulu's point of view)

It was a dark warm summer night; the stars twinkled in the sky like scattered diamonds over a dark velvet dress. The warm breeze was refreshing and gently as it caressed Lulu who hid in the bushes near by. The lake sparkled brightly like flashing lights under the gently light of the moon; this truly was a perfect night. Yeah a perfect night to catch your friends going at in a lake!
I can't believe Yuna! She should be resting not making out with Tidus! They know better! But…… why would I care? I mean let them do what they want. Maybe I'm a little jealous, of Yuna having someone to kiss. Yeah that's it…..or maybe it's because I WANTED to kiss Tidus……

A slow smile crept up on Lulu's full lips. She started liking Tidus ever since Luca, she tried to hide her feelings by being bitter or acting like she never liked Tidus, but deep down she did. She got terribly jealous when she caught Yuna and Tidus together; she would snippy with everyone else in the group.
She always wondered why she liked Tidus, she use to think she liked him because he looked so much like Chappu but…… It wasn't that. It was because he was Tidus; he was cheery, naïve, optimistic, carefree, and likable. Everything she wasn't and someday hoped to be. Lulu sighed but Tidus was gone like Chappu and again she was left alone, alone to wallow in her own pity, her sadness, her anger. No one besides her to help her, to reassure her, to let her know that she wasn't alone…… but she was, she was truly alone.
Tears started to foam and she wiped them away, "I'm always going to be alone" she whispered before she fell asleep in the golden void not knowing what was yet to come……….
