Chapter9: The banquet

    An old man with a long white bread came on the stage
"Hello and welcome back to Hogwarts I'm Professor Dumbledore to those of you who don't know my name!" He said smiling down at the school. "I have some start-of-the-term notices for you. First years the forest on campus is forbidden for you to enter and the third-floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bounds for anyone who wishes not do die a painfully death."
"What's up with this guy?" Chris asked to one of the Weasley named Percy. "Oh Professor Dumbledore is always a little um, how should I say…" but he was interrupted by one of the twins.
"Weird." he said and Percy gave him an annoyed look.
Dumbledore gave his wand a little flick, and a long golden ribbon flew out of it, which rose high above the table and twisted itself, snakelike, into words.
"Everyone pick your favorite tune." Said Dumbledore. "And off we go!"
The school sang:
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot,
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot"

  Of course everybody finish at different times, Ayumi, Melissa, and Ron's twin brothers were left alone to sing in front of the school. The twin finished first then Ayumi and Melissa we're left and both girls were singing the same song and they sounded great. They finished and the school applauded then like magic the plates were filled with of all sorts of foods right before their eyes.

"Wow!!" Chris said his mouth drooling.
"Are you sure we haven't die and went to heaven?" Melissa joked.

"I think we did." Ayumi laughed back.

Harry's mouth just hung open never before in his life had he seen so much food!! There was roast beef, roast chicken, pork chops, and lamb chops, sausages, bacon and steak, boiled potatoes, roast potatoes, fries, Yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots, gravy, ketchup, and, for some strange reason peppermint humbugs. Harry grabbed a little of everything and piled it on his plate (all except the peppermint), and began to eat like he never did before.
He looked to see Melissa staring at him weirdly
"What?" he said through a mouthful of potatoes. 
"God Harry you look like you never eaten before in your life!" Mel said while shaking her head.
"I have but they never fully fed just a very little bit that's all." he answered with his mouth food spraying a few bits everywhere. "Oh," he said, "sorry." and he blushed.
"Oh I see the food they served us was disgusting." Mel said while shivering at the thought of it. Harry laughed and continued eating. Once he was satisfied he turned to finally get a good look at the hall.
"Wow!" he whispered and he knew from then on he was going to really like this school.

Boy I'm stuffed I thought while I rubbed my stomach in satisfaction and I brushed a strand of hair out of my face and I turn to Chris who looked stuffed, and I smiled. I looked up to see Professor Dumbledore stand up again.
"Okay follow your house’s prefect to your house." At that I saw a boy who looked at lot like Ron stand up
"Follow me and my name is Percy Weasley stay close now and don't get lost." He ordered. We followed Percy until we got in one of those crowd jams. We started walking some more and I was talking to Mel when she bumped into a 4th year. Mel froze and looked up and I gulped.

"Hey watch were ya going! I'm walking here," I screamed at the boy and man was he cute! He just looked down at me with his gray eyes and smiled. "Excuse me" He said politely. "My name is Cedric what's yours?"
I smiled and said "I'm Melissa but its Mel to you."
He laughed and said, "Okay Mel you know you got some pretty eyes"
I blushed and whispered "Thanks."
"We'll gotta go! See you around… Mel" and with a wave he was gone. 
"Man he was so cute" Ayumi squealed while jumping.
"I know." I said smiling and we continued to head up to our new house.

They climbed a lot of stairs then they finally reached a long corridor and at the end there was a big portrait of a fat lady in a pink satin dress.
"Password" the woman bellowed.

"Caput Draconis" Percy said at the sound of the words the portrait swung open. Inside relieved a cozy common room with plush armchairs two round tables a couple TV's and 4 computers for entertainment and research books.
Oh's and Ah's were heard through out the crowd as they saw the room for the first time. Percy then showed the girl's their dormitories then the boy's theirs, the rooms where big and comfy looking they had four posters with long scarlet curtains draping over them the kids crawled in between the covers and fell a sleep an instant.
