These are my character bio's from Yami no Matsuei. Most of the information on this site is made possible thanks to Theria.net so do check out her site for more information on this series and possibly more info that you didn't get on a certain character. I will also hold some little minor points in this section about the chacters since I do have some hunches on a few characters. If you dissagree with any of these oppinions I am very sorry and I hope I didn't offend you or give away anyhting about this great series. I will try to keep the spoilers to a minimum. Tsuzuki, like I pointed out in the Bio is somewhat of a clutz. He's hardly ever on time, always wants to eat cake and just hang out like a lazy cat all day. Don't let that get you down about the character, though. Tsuzuki is very passionet about those close to him who he wants to protect. He's also very strong. He's actually the strongest Shinigami in EnMaCho even though he doesn't know it. This also posed as a problem since the highest ranking demon in the demon world, Saganatsu tried to posses him and ever since Tsuzuki forced him out of his body it's been proven that Tsuzuki is much more powerful than anyone ever suspected. Tsuzuki's death is one that I am curious to find out about. We don't know yet how he died but he did somthing very bad as a child that is hard for even Tsuzuki to cope with. The only two people who know of this act are Kanoe and Earl. (Although this is true I still think Hisoka might know a little bit about his past life and what happened to him. Remember that Hisoka does have Empathy, the power to read people's emotions.) Tsuzuki can also summon shikigami, the anchient gods of Japanese folk-lore. He controls 12 of them witch is very unlikely for a Shinigami to do. (Especially SohRyo who is one of the highest ranking shikigami in the spirit world. One of my favorits, really.) Tsuzuki's appearances are very feminen in that many of his own collegues find him attractive. Especially Muraki who has had his eyes on Tsuzuki ever since he was young, wants him badly. Tsuzuki also likes cooking and gardening although his cooking is horrible. He was taught cooking and dancing by his older sister, Ruka as a little child. Tsuzuki is probably one of the most complicated characters in Yami no Matsuei aside from Muraki and Earl. He's one of my favorites and is one hot looking guy. (can you say "uke?") |

Hisoka-kun is, in my opinion a person I hide from the public that I truely am. Let's just say that Hisoka is a little puncky bastard and I am a stuck up bitch at times so yes. I think we all are this way which is why this character works so well with me. I don't hate him, don't get me wrong.
With that aside, Hisoka's lineage is from the 1185-1333 Kamakura era. If he had lived, Hisoka would have been the 17th head of his family. While living in this very proud and old-fashioned family his father saw Hisoka as more of a 'thing' than a 'person.' (I can understand that.) So by doing this Hisoka was trained as a bushi and was familiar with aikido,kendo, naginata, judo and kyudo (Japanese Archery)
Hisoka's powers are empathy, the power to read emotions. (Preaty much he is both of a telephathic and an empath. I find them the same thing but yeah.) Whenever he displayed these traits, his father or other family members would lock him in an underground room, afraid that these actions were works of the devil. Now Hisoka's death was done by a man named Muraki. Hisoka, one night couldn't sleep so he took a little strole by the river near his house where the cherry blossum tree's blew. While he was gaizeing up at the blood-red moon, saw a murder by the river. This murderer, of course, was Muraki. Now this death, I must say is the saddest thing in Yami no Matsuei. Hisokawas raped causing a curse to over-take his body, pulling him slowly into death. Hisoka was 16 when he was killed while his death took 7 years to finally stop and take him to Meifu. Thusly, after this act Hisoka became a Shinigami to try and find the man who had killed him and to bring him to justice. After doing this he realised that with his new partner, Tsuzuki he might find what he was really looking for, release of his death. Hisoka's name also means 'Secret". |

Tatsumi Seiichiro is the secretary to Kanoe Kacho and the rumored true head of the Shokan Devision. Formerly a Shinigami, Tatsumi was partnered with Tsuzuki for 3 months, then reasigned as the secretary for Kanoe after giving up entirely with Tsuzuki child-ish behavior. Tatsumi has a deep connection with his mother in that after falling into a more desperate time with his mother (Tatsumi spent a portion of his time with his mother, poor. In this time his mother was very week and always sad looking. Tatsumi does not like weak people for this reason. It was basically saying that the person who was ment to be strong was giving up entirely during this very harsh time. So it's very hard for Tatsumi to admit that the bearue is relatively poor at times. That would show weekness.) One thing that is interesting about Tatsumi is his connection with Tsuzuki. He seems to generally want to be closer but infact it's as if he see's his mother in Tsuzuki for Tsuzuki generally shows weekness since his past was quite sad. Tatsumi is more like his dream mother when he shows these emotions to Tsuzuki. So it's as if he shows comfort to Tsuzuki to show how strong her truely is. (That's why I love Tatsumi. He's so much like me. My mother and I are that way. I had the same experience with my mother growing up. She was week at a point in her life when my brother moved out on a rather harsh note. So I was there to show that I couldn't stand weekness. Sorry to get off topic but I wanted to express how much I love Tatsumi-san! He's just great! XD)
Although he seems kind to Tsuzuki, Tatsumi is very harsh to Tsuzuki and extremly stern. As I said before that he is mistaken or thought out to be the real Shoukan Leader. He is very strong with the laws of the Shoukan devision and is preaty much the insisted leader of the JuOhCho devision (Where Tsuzuki and Hisoka are shinigami to) He is also very much so stingy. He expresses this plainly to the residents of both the Library *GuShoShin=The two Owl Brothers who maintain the library/records of the dead* and the Castle of Candles. (Earl=The keeper of the souls who pass from the living world) Tatsumi's powers are really cool, actually. He is a shadow user, which I did guess before reading the manga. *rather good on my part* {Proud} He he. Only two people in all of JuOhCho can use this technique which are Tatsumi and his teacher. *Don't know who this 'teacher' is yet but working on that one* He he!~ |

| About: Watari is the lead *mad* scientist of the Shoka devision. Though he tends to work alone Watari has helped the JuOhCho devision out quite a bit. We first get to see more of Yutaka-san in the Demon's Thrill arc *eps 4-6 and volume 2 of the manga* He declares himself a chemist in which he seems to be developing a sex-change drug. (Although he didn't succeed in the Sex-Change potion he did create an age regression potion which we do see in the "Child and I" side story in volume 6 of the manga. Rather cute!) He has also developed a mind switching potion used in a set of Valentine Chocolates. As a side-kick, we always seem to see Watari with a pump yet cute owl on his showlder named 003. He and Tsuzuki are on very good terms. Watari's power is quite strange. Watari can draw 'life' from a drawing that he creates or a machine. Basically if he creates a machine or draws a picture he can then pull a person of his choice out of the object. His drawing skills, however are quite poor. Thankfully he's such a great scientist. Mad but still a scientist. He he. |

Muraki is a character who not too many like but other's love! Muraki is what I would call the bad Dr. would want to be around but don't want working on you. Bad idea to have him prescribe anything to you. (Only in Japan, folks) Now Muraki is one character that is very shadey to me. We know he's a killer for that is how he gaines his power; He kills his victoms while draining their energy. He is like that of a Vampire. He is supposedly still living in the real world but I still think he was an Shinigami who escaped the land of the dead, Meifu after working in the JuOhCho devision to find his grandfather's lost pacient. *hint hint, wink wink* Muraki, on the job makes a note to sexually harrass Tsuzuki, which personally I find hillarious. He he he. (The images, also of Tsuzuki with Muraki are really lovely! Yohko does a marvalous job at capturing them. I love her muches!!!) Muraki was the killer of Hisoka, as I explained in the Hisoka bio. Muraki, in turn controls Hisoka by the spell that he put on him just before he died. Personally I see this all over the place in the manga, that Muraki has a thing against women. If you were to read the first segment of volumes 7 and 8 you would read that Muraki is with a woman. *The 8th volume we see Muraki being abused by his messed up mother.) So this is my resonning as to why Muraki would hate women or that he does hate them. So of course, it's been proven that some of the homosexual men have been formed from lack of female care or a mother, bluntly put, harrassing or abuseing their son. So basically it's a youth thing where the child was taught to hate all women by the actions of the opposite sex or lack there of. That's what I think and I stick by it! So he's all over Tsuzuki because of it. He's also attractive to Muraki because of his purple eyes, which are a sign of someone who has committed a grievous sin. I beleive that Muraki actually knows about the sinns that Tsuzuki had committed, aside from the cause of his death.
One last little note about Muraki is his left eye. It's fake! Actually a Mechanicle eye. It was some freakish accident that happened to make his left eye go out or I beleive it was pulled or scratched out by an attacker. It's been pulled out quite offten in the manga *lovely* by Hisoka or Muraki but it comes back just as insane as usual. He he he. Well then... That's just what you get for being a Dr. You can just stitch yourself up easy as that! |
