So I'm back from the Czech Republic, and it was absolutely awesome. It went better than any of us ever could have hoped or imagined. We prayed and prayed and prayed, and God blessed us 10 times over how much we prayed. Thankyou to all of you as well who were also praying for me, it is greatly appreciated it, because I'm sure if this whole trip wasn't covered with prayer as it was, it would not gone nearly as well. We headed over there being told not to expect to see anyone to turn to Christ at all. Our job was to lead people towards a better understanding of God, and plant churches; to create a relevant atmosphere where truth is exposed. Definitely the mission was accomplished, and then some. The 'and then some' is the exciting part. Our first town was Paradubice, and we did our seeker service in the Doli Club, which by the way, was actually a strip club. We had to take down the big metal pole off of the long walkout stage at the front before we could really begin setting up. The first night we saw about 15-20 people come out. Mostly youth, as that was mostly our focus. That was really good for sure. The next day though we went up this big tower and prayed over the city. We claimed in prayer 50 people to come out to the service that night. I wasn't sure about this but we prayed in faith. That night we saw 63 come out. All through our time there we saw God continue to bless us more than we could have imagined. In Hradec Kralove, we saw a few people turn to Christ. In our last town of Blansko, the Pastor, Honza, had been working there for about 10 years, and had a congregation of aboutr 10. On the last day there we had Church in a theater, as it was Sunday. We did a bunch of worship, then Joel brough the message, and at the end of it he asked anyone who wanted to accept Christ to stand. Just about all the people who had come out stood up, and Honza saw his congregation more than double right before his eyes, and then he also got a lot more contacts to people throughout the week as well. Lukas, the head of the Church who works in Hradec Kralove, said he will use our Omega team as an example for all teams that come after us as how a team should be when they are in the Czech. We have become the standard for how to work and operate for anyone that comes there. That is an amazing encouragement for sure. He doesn't like to use the word revival, because he says people use it too much and it's almost like a cliche now, and he's absolutely right. But he said what is happening here now in the Czech Republic is revival. Praise the Lord So I've gotten home now, and things are going well. Yesterday I had a meeting with Linda Duncaffe from the PAOC about my trip to Rwanda, and I believe it went very well. She gave me the names of a few people I need to get in contact with to help me figure out what my budget over there will likely look like. I'll be getting right to work on that. Also, I just bought a bike today. It's going to help me to be able to get around a lot better while I'm here, but the more key point of getting it was because I'll be able to easily take it over to Rwanda with me, and it will be a large part of my transportation while I'm there. My main focus now, is to find a job that will help me raise some money to pay for this trip. Please pray for me that God will help me to find exactly the job that I need for this summer. |
