Hello! How are you doing? So we are right on the crest of the one year for this site. Coming very close. Honest truth is I can't really remember when I officially launched this site, but it was pretty close to the end of December last year, so I'm just going to say that the One year will be on December 29th. How does that sound? Now of what consequence is this? Well there is a text box on the main page. If you click on the text box and type (pay close attention) 'Happy Birthday DrewinRwanda.com!'(don't forget to put your name afterwards! I need to know who you are if you enter the contest), you will be entered into the one year contest, and so possibly win something,... from somewhere. Perhaps something killer from Celebration Christian Store or something. Anyways, the name will be pulled at random on the 28th, and at some point in early January I will get the prize to the winner. So enter your name, and good luck. Anyways, on to other things besides the contest. This last Sunday I got to go up in front of the Church at Delta Pentecostal on Sunday morning and share all about my mission to Rwanda for five minutes, and I think it went pretty well actually. I was a little nervous, but I think I'm getting a little better at that kind of stuff, which I'm sure is a really good thing. I managed to be somewhat entertaining up there and got a few people to laught a little, which always makes my day if I can do that. And then it was that much a better day, because Sunday night Vancouver Canucks beat Boston, and beat them pretty well too. So a good day for sure. This week has been a little slow. I'm just today starting to combat my inability to get out of bed before 10:30. I was able to keep myself going pretty well without a job or much of anything to do for a couple weeks, but this week came off as a little more difficult in terms of getting myself going and doing anything. I'm starting to accept that perhaps I'm just not suppost to get a job before my trip, and I'm just praying that if that is the case, well then God really had best provide for me, because driving a car around and paying for christmas presents (meager though they might be) is an expensive life when theres no income of any kind. It does help living at Grandma's where there's no rent to pay, and gas prices coming down is nice, but still, my money is slowly declining, and that's never helpful when I'm saving for going overseas. There are new pictures on the site. Feel free to check them out. They're pictures of Rwanda, and a brochure all about my trip should be available early in January. Do not forget to add your name in the other text box on the main page so you can be on my list to be receiving newsletters from me in your e-mail when I'm overseas. So far, I've got about 0 entries for that. I won't take that offensively, as my visitor count is a little low. Hopefully that spikes up pretty soon though. I think it might. Pray for me! I need it. Bye for now |
