So, I haven't changed all that much it seems. At least in some ways. Yesterday I was cutting some cheese with this little blade board thing, and I became conscious of the fact that I should probably be careful. I especially became conscious that I should be careful when I heard this voice in my head which sounded a lot like my friend Samara's voice, possibly it was just a playing of what I imagined Samara would say if she were there at the moment. It was saying 'be careful Drew of you're going to cut yourself!' Of course me being myself I thought to myself right away, 'yeah alright I think I'll be just fine, no worries.' Half a second later, slice... Surprise! Along with the cheese a slight slicing off the tip of my finger came off. It was a nice clean cut, not too deep, but it bled like there's no tomorrow, wow. But I am doing alright now though. I have a bandaid on my finger, and as you can see that I am typing fairly ledgibly, in fact not even making any spelling mistakes (this program doesn't have spell check in the least, so the spelling and grammar is all me), so I am doing just fine. I almost never ever ever wear bandaids, but I thought I might make an exception this time. Don't really want little spots of blood all over the hotels keyboard. Anyways other than that, things are going very well. Everyone who comes to Africa for any period of time of course should always go on some kind of safari or trip to get to see a bit of the continent. That is given, it would be a shame to not. I have been ridiculously busy and only gotten to go even outside of Kigali City twice. I generally work every day of the week, especially weekends, but it is all fair and good because that is why I am here. Im not here for vacation, but I'm here to work for the Lord, and to work fervently, which is what I'm doing. And gratefully as well I might add, as I am blessed to be here. However I have an oppurtunity that hopefully Ill get to take up in a while to get to go on the trip of a lifetime and see a fair bit of Africa. My dad, auntie Kelly, and cousin Taylor are all coming to Africa for a couple week. They are going on a big safari through Kenya and Tanzania. Then after they are coming to stay at my house for a few days. Now the oppurtunity is that I just might get to go on the safari with them that they're going on before they come to Rwanda. Not that I'm going to hold my breath or anything (gasp), but hopefully I get to go. This is at the end of November, so it will be a busy time and all, as Christmas will be coming, and of course I am in charge of the Children's Christmas production. We'll see how that goes. Not much else new beyond that stuff. Keep praying for me, that I don't slice anything else off, or anything like that. Where as I was getting over being sick last journal, I am totally restored to full health now (besides my finger of course), so thankyou for prayers and all of that. Thankyou for reading, and God bless. |
