| Wanna talk about metal????? Envilent will give you a whole HELL of a lot to talk about with this EP. Straight outta La Habra California, Envilent have made some truely haunting music. Truely an honest progression from their last demo, the song writing has been taken to the next level, and also they added a second guitarist, which has really rounded out the sound. now lets get to the songs. "Remain" is a song that is very brutal, and has some awesome breakdowns, as well as some technical guitar work. the title track may be the strongest song on the EP, it starts with acoustic guitars, and follows with the sound of distortion. there are some very cool effects on this song. The next song "A mometns light" is the most brutal track, with blast beats, breakdowns, and all!!! some very brutal vocals here on this track. the next song "Passing night" is simular to the last, but the lyrics take you for a ride. the song has a black metal feel to it. the song is very story, and gives chills when you read along with the lyrics. finally "Crypts of the eternal death" this is a great song to close the EP. the songs starts with the drums and bass, and the guitars come in with a kick in the face. this song reminds me of bands like Soilwork and Shadows Fall, mainly the tightnest between the bass and the drums. The production of this disc is flawless, sounds tight, complete, and effortless.Envilent have gone to the next level. I give this a full 10 stars. |
